A viral haemorrhagic fever that killed four people in Johannesburg has been identified as a new strain of the deadly arenavirus, health officials said Thursday.

Its not so much a new virus, its just a new strain of an existing one. Nothing to panic about of yet, only four cases

Very interesting! Thank you for the thread! Looks like they had time to isolate the woman, before she spread it to a lot of people, other than her caretakers.

Zambia is such a viral hotbed...
