Although that picture is just for fun (I assume, unless you have Van Dammes cellphone number!), it makes me think, if the bad guys made their robots look like Johnny 5, a lot of people would either be confused or think it's non-hostile until too late, due to the conditioning from the Short Circuit movies. (No, I'm not claiming that SC movies are part of an evil plot
, just that things like that do effect our thought patterns).

Well, I would design a microwave weapon as mentioned here. I would use high capacity capacitors to create short and very very powerful pulses , this would fry the microchips inside the robot. Unless the robot is protected somehow ..

Throw some thermite at it or catch it on fire then rapidly cool.
One of those might work.

I think that's not a bad idea, i've discharged big capacitors before, and when you do it, it will make popping noises/disturbance on any radio/tv nearby, so if you can do that fast enough again and again that might disrupt them.

I had thought about maybe using some kind of radio jammer like this, they tend to just send out masses of RF across many frequencies, and might jam the circuits in some way.

The only problem I see with jamming it, is I would expect like UAV/guided missiles, it would have some backup instructions that happen when it can't communicate with the homebase, however if it actually disrupts the circuits rather than just communications, that might work out ok.

Lure them down a narrow passage. Then release two trees tied to ropes flanked at both sides to smash them. See "Return Of The Jedi" for further info. Those Ewoks should not be underestimated.

I like the water balloon idea as well.

I think the best thing would be:

The electrical net that was used on R2D2 in the original starwars by the Jawa's!!!!!

I'd try a few approaches...

Magnetic couplers combined with IR / EMF transmitter, some with shorted 9 volt batteries and / or slow burning kerosene fuel rags / facecloths.

Bullets to joints, sensors.

Drenched in motor oil and lit on fire.

If you know what type of metal, corrosive material or material that on contact with given metal / material combusts.

High or low heat. Flames or freezing.

Maybe a small bottle / can of BB's thrown in their path. Jump on them when down and try to break anything you can.

EMP, using a portable generator, reflector/dish/concentrator & magnetron from a microwave.

Taser.

They should have some kind of cameras for orientation so we can shoot them with paint ball

Bender the robot can be easily disabled by cheap booze and porno.

Asimov's robots cannot handle logic.

Unfortunately, I would be totally defenseless against a high-quality sex-bot like Cherry 2000: ecx.images-amazon.com...

I'm sorry, but when I saw the title of this thread, I thought of one word:

Atlas.

Seriously.

some type of Glue bomb....quick setting Epoxy...something along these lines should do the trick..or just plain Acid to eat thru the electronics..acid bomb...that might do the trick.

The more complicated your opponent, the simpler the attack should be.

I have the same answer for all these posts siiiiiigh Aliens, Sasquatch, Robots

It doesn't matter

Everyone needs a proper Katana. a real one.

Never runs out of ammo, silent, made right it will last for ever...

Robots have wires and panels and joints and sensores and cameras for eyes

Slice away, move fast
