We have a new banner at the top of the page for members and visitors to cast their vote for President of The United States.

We've included the top-two candidates from the two main parties, as well as the leading candidates from other so-called "lesser" parties.

Results will be announced on Sunday, November 2nd.

Officially didn't vote. You forgot the selection of none of the above/won't vote. The only person I would vote for is Ron Paul, but he isn't running any longer. Actually I don't blame him. If he did get elected, then I fear he would get assassinated.

Even if one votes for a third party, they don't have a chance. The two top candidates, there is really no difference between them when all is said and done. I believe there are goals that people behind the scenes want accomplished, and they will be accomplished no matter who is president.

I click on the banner and get "Error on Page" error in my status bar.

Will try it later on a different computer.

There is no purity in abstention. There must be one selection that you agree with! There is a wide range from libertarian to socialist... just because Ron Paul isnt a choice doesnt mean that you shouldnt vote.

I know some people say never choose the lesser of two evils, but that thinking is rather naive when its a two-party state. Voting in the USA today is essentially an "either/ or" affair.

Perhaps there should be a "write in" box under the polls on the ATS election, but no doubt this would be innundated by Ron Paul supporters (I know I would have written his name in). Perhaps its best left out, since that way we will get a better data set about who people intend to vote for.

This is a great idea, and will give a great feel for how those are trying to deny ignorance and bring truth to everything and most importantly the American presidential election. This will be open to all members it seems, but I would like to see the break down from those who are citizens and international voters. the only way I can think you can do that is by log ip address but then you Americans overseas then you just have a mess. Oh well Happy Voting. Hurray Democracy...

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

Well it works fine for me, if some people are still having problems I would suggest allowing popups other wise you will only get a page refresh.
Edit
the pop up said Results will be announced November 2.

but the mass U2U said, Results will be announced on Sunday, November 3rd

As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.

Seems it's not working for me either I get Error On Page in task bar and no refresh nor does it go to a different page. IE 7 SP 3 running NOD 32 AV
anti spy.

ALSO:

Is the vote anonymous or will it be linked to our ISP? I would want to be able to vote without chances of repercussions from those who see how I voted and don't like my choice.

The vote pop-up should be functioning correctly now.

unfair poll due to the fact that half of ATS members are from other countries and we know that other countries favor a weaker Obama which means a weaker U.S.A.
I refuse to participate on what will surely be a biased poll.

Thank you SO for the fix. Could you let me know if it will be anonymous or linked to our ISP address? I think it should be loged as anonymous by some kind oif scranble or just drop the ISP.

Thanks for doing this, I voted for who I think will benefit america the most, my vote is not biased and nor do I intend to make a stronger or weaker america, but simply what I think is best.
