One of the great unappreciated stories of the past eight years is how thoroughly Senate Democrats thwarted efforts by President Bush to appoint judges to the lower federal courts



The balance will shift as well on almost all of the 12 other federal appeals courts. Nine of the 13 will probably swing to the left if Mr. Obama is elected (not counting the Ninth Circuit, which the left solidly controls today). Circuit majorities are likely at stake in this presidential election for the First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeal. That includes the federal appeals courts for New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia and virtually every other major center of finance in the country.

On the Supreme Court, six of the current nine justices will be 70 years old or older on January 20, 2009. There is a widespread expectation that the next president could make four appointments in just his first term, with maybe two more in a second term. Here too we are poised for heavy change.

Obamassiah is about to change america until the next armed revelution. Because to undo the damage he is about to do will take armed rebellion. Free speech will be gone, anything not possitive about the obamassiah will be deemed hate speech. He will have packed the court system with judges who will over rule the people and congress to put forth HIS agenda.....these are dangerous times

Damage to the constitution??? Have you been living in a cave for the last 8 years? What the hell is this "constitution" you speak of? Oh its that "god damned piece of paper" that the current administration has been wiping their tail pipes with.

I would almost love to see Obama somehow do more damage to the constitution than the Bush administration has done. It would be an amazing feat. I don't think it is possible.

AMEN. Everyone seems to think we still have that pesky "freedom" thing here in the good ole USofA. It would be fairly entertaining to see either of the good Senators try to take a couple good whacks at the Constitution. Then maybe we'll all see how little really is left.

Obama sure wants change. After he stomps on the 2nd amendment he'll probably change the US into the NAU. Just found an article where Biden talks about a New World Order.

Obama can't stop out the 2nd amendment. Unless you think when he becomes President he will kill every Congressman and take over.
