Anyone remember back in June when President Bush called for more sanctions against Iran? He gave them a deadline which happened to be far enough in the future that they were allowed to withdraw 75 billion dollars from European banks?

www.reuters.com...

Iran has withdrawn around $75 billion from Europe to prevent the assets from being blocked under threatened new sanctions over Tehran's disputed nuclear ambitions, an Iranian weekly said.

Well, who's laughing now? Thanks to Bush and his increased sanctions, Iran has been able to have their money safely out of the banks that are now in the middle of the greatest economic catastrophe of our time.

It seems a bit ironic to say the least.

I thought the same thing....karma maybe?

75 billion is a lot of cash....wonder w'r they put it? Maybe gold or invested into there own country? They are not having it easy with high unemployment etc.
