He's not like JFK at all. JFK's life and family are/were open to total scrutiny. Obama has those two years where he.... disappeared with no record.

Jesus Christ went away for thirty years with no trace, however many people still believe in him. Your point?

You're comparing Obama with Jesus? Do you think he is the MESSIAH?

All you are doing is reiterating the fear-based indoctrination that has been instilled in you by the elevated terror level nation we live in.

No, I'm opening eyes that you would rather remain shut.

Obama represented ACORN along side the US JUSTICE DEPT. to bring the organization and housing to the lower income communities.

And his campaign donated over $800,000 to their subsidiary. What's up with that?

Why are people saying ACORN is now bad?

Because ACORN is a corrupt, partisan org funded by Obama.

He didn't pop out of no where either. He did give a speech at the Democratic convention in 2004. Why? Because he is a brilliant Harvard man who most people thought would head for supreme court one day.

Really? Then why not release his transcripts, which he hides? Because his Harvard Ride was funded by EEO and not his achievements, that's why.

There are two years where Obama was a drug addict that are undocumented. We want to know about those years.

America is drowning in the middle of the river asking for help. The next president of the United States must simply be strong and willing enough to pull us into safety.

More than half of America doesn't believe Obama is the one to lead us. The military will never stand behind him. He will drown us in the river of despair.

Btw, I found your entire thread sad and fear-based.

I thought you would.

I really have only one major issue, the rest of his antics won't make it very readily past the house and senate.

He thinks 250,000.00 a Year is where wealth begins

and in principal I could actually support allot of what he wants to do for the poor.

But, despite his well meaning, he has lost touch with the concept of money.

50% at 250,000 leaves 125,000 thats okay but not a growth area for those starting their own businesses

If he said a Million was rich... I'd agree with that

But all these guys... I don't think the poverty line has gone up since the late 60's

Minimum wage is Double what it was in 1980 (Just over 3.00)

BUT

A Loaf of Wonder Bread was .50 and a Gallon of Milk .79

6x for bread and 4-5 x for Milk

a Gallon of Gas in 1975 was .29 Cents! Minimum wage was Over 2.00

A person who made minimum wage could fill their car for 1 hrs work if it had a small 8 Gallon tank

Now... You can't get 2 Gallons for an hrs work

HOMES

again 1975 Av Home 40,000

Today 283,000

7x increase in the cost of a Home

less than 3x minimum wage

Thats SICK and WRONG

and Obama means well

But

The poverty Line is not 14,000

It's more like 40,000

To live a decent HUMAN existence

and

Middle class is NOT 40,000-50,000

It's more like 80,000-150,000

If you really add up the payments

I need new veneers for my teeth...

Cost, for dental work 14,000.00

Glad to know caps for my teeth cost more than the poverty line, because lol, I'll get a job with goofy looking teeth!!!

Rich at 250,000 is an automatic reduction to middle class and isn't factoring in paying people or advancement

It's anutty unrealistic number to define a person as RICH at

If... he was in touch, with the incomes of real people I'd say he hadn't speant to much time in DC and wasn't as lost as anyone else... credit due, at least his intentions are right

But, 250,000 a years allot to earn and I have to add a 100 G to my income goals to handle this and

I'm tired lol, i'm not getting any younger

Retire in some sort of peace at 65... for 30 years if your healthy means saving at least a Million bucks to not be on Social Security

I do well, and his definition of rich could, leave me on SS which may or may not be around

Obama needs to raise what he defines as wealth to realistic levels given inflation over the next 30 years for me to even think of this guy for president

Because that's really where 250 gets scary... Given Inflation, you that number will never go up again

250 in 20 years is going to be nothing the way things are going

He's out of his mind this is why his plan really is socialism.. it will END small business once and for all

He's completely out of the loop of the avg American

1 Million a year Obama... really tax the rich not my family

give the poor a chance to rise above a socialized system

restrain capitalism YAY... all for it, but do it in a way a person can still make a profit and achieve something in life... not like a kook

I don't think he's Jesus, not even an Obama supporter. Just read your ridiculous thread and transparently biased interpretation of the untruths.

You are not opening any eyes, you are merely exposing your level of ignorance in disassociating facts from fiction.

I repeat McCain gave a speech endorsing ACORN. It's almost like you have a truth-proof vest where it doesn't even stick. Your biasness is epic.

Then why not release his transcripts, which he hides? Because his Harvard Ride was funded by EEO and not his achievements, that's why.

How many baseless assertions can use create to support this irrelevant thread?

He was a documented drug addicted?
Truth: He experimented along with 90% of the rest of the college bound americans. Where is your source on his drug addict problem?

You are like a NFL fan that knows he is going tolose and is now resorting to childish tactics. Sad really.

No military support? Um... Fear drunk you are.

I don't think that he feels that Obama is the messiah...he is just counter acting your statement....YOU are the one combining the two.

Because ACORN is a corrupt, partisan org funded by Obama.

well....let me show you the truth

GOP leaders have alleged that in registering 1.3 million new voters in 21 states, the Assn. of Community Organizations for Reform Now has engaged in widespread voter fraud. They argue that ACORN’s improper registrations could allow, say, Mickey Mouse to cast a ballot for Sen. Barack Obama on Nov. 4. What’s wrong with this picture? First, as TWI’s Daphne Eviatar pointed out in an excellent post last week, even if Mickey Mouse makes it onto the registration rolls, there’s no way that he’ll actually cast a vote on Election Day. The fraud, Daphne writes, is not on the American electorate but on ACORN, which sees its time and money wasted, and its reputation tarnished, whenever one of its canvassers submits false registration applications.
Second, as ACORN representatives explained at a press conference this morning, the procedure ACORN uses in submitting registration applications makes it easier, not harder, for the states to determine which applications are valid.

If Democrats stand to gain so much from ACORN’s registration drives, why did Sen. John McCain tell an audience at an ACORN-sponsored rally two years ago that groups like ACORN are “what makes America special”?

washingtonindependent.com...

ok...so then you say this...'

More than half of America doesn't believe Obama is the one to lead us. The military will never stand behind him. He will drown us in the river of despair.

ummmmmm

According to a new poll by the Pew Research Center, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has a 19-point lead over Republican rival John McCain among U.S. voters who have already cast their ballots.

I believe he is saying that it's a moot point.

You don't question Christ's decades of unaccounted time, yet you're suspect of Obama for unaccounted time.

I realize this is apples to oranges to you. But to some it's not, and it has the fragrance of hypocrisy.

For the record I believe in Christ and his relationship to Divinity (a Deist tho, sorry Church), so I understand the intellectual ease of emitting that time as ultimately irrelevant.

**edit: sorry he had answered this for himself while I was making this post**

I will not vote for Sen. Obama because he is a product of the Democratic Party. Nor will I vote for Sen. McCain, as he is a product of the Republican Party. None of these candidates make it up the ladder of their respective political parties without strings attached. Past debts and favors that will need to be honored. Deals that will need to be brokered in order to "keep things running smoothly". In other words... business as usual in Washington. Where has it gotten us? These grand "honest" candidates who speak of serving the public interest while they sell us out at every turn. Honesty, integrity and honor are foreign concepts to the lot of them. All the while the country teeters on the brink.

Well no more. Not for me at least. No longer will I validate either side with my ballot. Better to vote for the most obscure Independent (or write-in) candidate of your choice (where at least there's hope they won't be so bound to special interests), than to help these hypocritical jackals into office.

Many who hear this will dismiss my claims as paranoid or alarmist in nature. That's fine. But if you still believe your party of choice's candidates still have something to offer that isn't corrupt to the core, I would say to you this: Look past the words they throw at you in speeches and their oh so pretty campaign promises. Look at their results. Watch the way they do business. They don't do it openly as honest people would, but rather with backroom deals and unfathomable special interest items attached and buried in otherwise unrelated legislation. Take note as they whittle away and subvert your Constitutional rights, and observe as they confuse and muddle every issue with political wrangling. Watch as they promote war abroad and send our tax dollars overseas to bolster other countries while our own goes neglected; all the while our children's futures are mortgaged under unmanageable debt. And then ask yourself if you want more of the same.

For me, no matter which side of the aisle I look at, all I see is different colored sides to the same corrupt coin. To my eyes, never has anything been so fictional as the concept of an honest politician (no matter his/her affiliation).

I'm not one to tell anyone who to vote for, all I can hope is that the people will look past the rhetoric and spin and take an honest look at things as they truly are. That being said, I'll rest my case and cede the floor.

Peace.

19 point lead

average the polls and Obama only has a 6.7 lead.

on top of that the poll you source actually has Obama up 14 points not 19. i guess you took the blog as truth without looking at the actual poll.
RCP

I will not vote for Obama or McCain because neither of them have any executive experience.

They both went against the american people and voted for a bailout bill that was bloated with over $100 Billion in pork!

Neither one of them have good judgment.
Both of them only do things to advance their political career.

Obama strikes me as a cult leader. and whats scary is the number of people that blindly follow this "change" he keeps saying he will bring.

vote for McCain its another 4 years of Bush.
vote for Obama and its 4 more years worse than Clinton!

During a time of unprecedented economic crisis, Senator Obama has a Campaign that presents a "new" economic plan. But, Senator Obama voted AGAINST his own Campaign Economic Packge

SA 4246. Mr. ALLARD proposed an amendment to the concurrent resolution S. Con. Res. 70, setting forth the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2009 and including the appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal years 2008 and 2010 through 2013; as follows: (see link for the list, there are 2 pages for all of them, the amounts are staggering and too many to fit in a single post here)

Roll Call Vote
www.senate.gov...

Senator Allard's statement

Obama could have voted for the exact same economic change he is promising in his campaign, yet he voted against it - ALL OF IT.

If he won't even step up to support his own promised changes, how can I believe any of his other promises?

Come on, do you really believe those two plans were exactly the same? Or maybe there were a few key similarities and he's using this to create more ilusionary dirt. I think the latter.
Do you even know how comprehensive those plans are? Use your head, this doesn't even make sense.

It reminds me when republicans scream Obama voted against troop funding. He voted no because he wanted it modified to include a time table for pull back.

Guess what? McCain voted against funding the troops too, but that was because it had a timetable for pullout inside it. You see my point, they are using you with lip service. Know it all is the only way to be free.
