Obama Camp Lashes out at FOX News
Barack Obama's campaign is firing back against criticism over a seven-year-old radio interview in which Obama discussed wealth redistribution, specifically blaming FOX News for drawing attention to the issue.

In the interview, conducted by Chicago Public Radio in 2001 while Obama was an Illinois state senator and a law professor at the University of Chicago, Obama discusses the failure of the Supreme Court to rule on redistributing wealth in its civil rights decisions. The unearthed conversations gave fresh ammunition to critics who say the Democratic presidential candidate has a socialist agenda.

Fox News vs. Bill Burton

So has this been Obama's plan from the start? Or is it a "fake" controversy as Burton suggests?

(Couldn't get the video to embed. Anyone know how to work it?)

Listening to this recording it dawned on me that to legislate this type of "redistribution of wealth".It would probably come under the guise of a reperations bill of some sort.

Its strait out of the Karl Marx handbook of total control of anyone's thoughts and initiative. Its pure socialism. Why would anyone try to excell in any field if what they produce is taken and given to someone else who never did anything to deserve it?

What? Someone on ATS taking up for Fox News? Is the world about to end? Actually Fox has been the only MSM to go after all the candidates with equal fervor. And they have called out other MSM outlets for being in the tank for OBama.
So he wants to change the constitution so we have a welfare state. What other amendments does he propose? Repeal of the 1st and 2ond amendment? The right to free assembly?
What will it take to see that this man is setting himself up to become the 1st dictator of the United States?

Wasn't really taking up for them per se, but you are right. They have called out the other networks for being biased in favor of Obama, and they should. There was an article on the front page of Yahoo a bit ago that detailed a study someone has done on the reporting for this election and it has been massively biased in Obama's favor even though the worst they have come up with recently to bash McCain with was Palin's wardrobe. Nothing to bash about his policies or voting record apparently, recently anyway, but the cost of Palin's wardrobe now that is newsworthy...

Unfortunately, it will take him winning the election and completely changing, or attempting to change, everything for the worse before some people wake up and smell the coffee. I cannot comprehend how anyone can read or listen to his plans, not the fluff around them to make them sound pretty but the actual plans he has for the country, and honestly believe that any of it would be a good thing. And I have always been a Democrat up until this election, and I don't even buy it...

In the interest of this discussion, here is a link to the entire radio show that the excerpts for the youtube video are from.

Link to radio show, topic - "The court and civil rights"

The entire program is about an hour long and there are other guests on the program other than Barack Obama but listening to the entire program might be the best way to make sure that everyone experiences the context of remarks in question.

Enjoy.
