Report: Hijacked Iranian Ship Contained 'Dirty Bomb' for Israel

by Hana Levi Julian

(IsraelNN.com) Web blogs all over the Internet are continuing to buzz about an Iranian ship that was hijacked last August by Somali pirates and which Russian sources warned contained a dirty bomb intended for Israel.

The hijacking passed largely unnoticed in the mainstream media, save a brief mention in the news on August 22 that reported that three vessels – Iranian, Japanese and German – and their 57 crew members were hijacked by pirates in the Gulf of Aden near Somalia. Several pirates died after they forced open part of the cargo.

The waterway connects the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean. Somalia, host to the longest coastline in Africa (1,880 miles), is an international piracy and terrorist hotspot. Foreign vessels are often seized by pirates in the area, who hold the ships and their crews for ransom.

This is a response to my closed thread. It's not older than 48 hours and it is in english. I hope this thread stays open and will be investigated thouroughly. Thanks.

If it's in the wrong place, please move it. And if it's already mentioned, I give up...lol.

I did a search on ATS using these words: iran israel dirt(y) bomb. Nothing.

Thank you.

the symptons reported could just as easily be due to chemical exposure

the description of the material could just as easily be chemicals

it could just as easily be a chemical bomb

or s ship carrying powdered chemicals for use in industry

clarification of exposed to also needs checking, touched? inhaled? was in close proximity too?

if Iran had detonated a giant dirty bomb it would loose all its allies leaving it open season on Iran, not to mention those prevailing winds could very easily carry it into palestine and beyond and as /iran wants to reunite palestine ad israel this would be really really not effective in that goal unless the changed the goal to be uniting them in a bioogical waste land

Chemical experts say the reports sound inconsistent with chemical poisoning, but may reflect the effects of exposure to radiation.

“It’s baffling,” said Jonathan Tucker, a senior fellow at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies. “I’m not aware of any chemical agent that produces loss of hair within a few days. That’s more suggestive of high levels of radioactive waste.”

The person who reported the so called chemical nuclear effects on the pirates was later arrested and found to be receiving kickbacks from the pirates to say things to make it easier for them to get more money.
The guy was a scammer.

Hasn't this story been thoroughly debunked already?

There were a couple of threads a while back about this story. Apart from the account given by a shady Somali source I don't think there has been any independent verification of the authenticity.

Do some research look up the president of the seafarers association who was Kenyan.
He was telling lies to help the pirates get cash they found huge amounts of money being wired to his bank.
Hes now in Jail.

www.cdc.gov...

Thalium can cause similar but 15-20mg lethal dosage by injestion almost certainly limits this unless someone was sticking thalium baed rat poison in thier food again a clear or pale yellow crystal in appearance

it seems theres a whole range of thallium based compunds this could be al with various uses

without tests on the bodies its all just guesswork

could be a dirty bomb chemical bomb or just a bunch of chemicals

Perhaps all this "Iranian dirty bomb ship" stuff was nothing more than a deliberate misinfo piece to bury another hijacked ship story?

Interesting piece here:

morris108.wordpress.com...

Apparently BBC reporters allegedly traced the ownership of this vessel but it seems to be out of the spotlight. I wonder why?

Edit to add...

Good idea to distract everyone by putting out another story where the very people possibly up their eyeballs in dodgy dealings get to play the (potential) victims once again.

That seems incorrect in several ways.

The information about the pirates illness was first noticed by Puntland's minerals minister Hassan "Allore" Osman, during an official September 4th visit to the hijacked MV Iran Deyanat.

The president of the East Africa Seafarers Association is Andrew Mwangura. He has run the association for 12 years. He was the first to report that there were tanks on the hijacked MV Fiana.

He reported the sickness on the MV Iran Deyanat, but he was not arrested for it. He was arrested for saying that the tanks on the MV Fiana were going to Sudan (and having 4 joints in his house, which caused the court to crack up).

He has been released from jail.

No millions in his bank or house.
