You know, since you brought it up...

I had thought that since you were having such troubles near your base and 2nd chakra (and now your colon, which was the clincher for me) that you had "issues" with power, since, I think, that is near the center of the will.

By the way, why would your mother be offended? What did you think of the quote?

Not quite sure I understand the quote. I was saying my mom would be offended because I didn't know it was a part of the Nag Hammadi and she tries to teach me these things.

Oh! LOL... that IS funny!

So, I guess you are now viewing power differently?

When do you go in for the surgery? What time of the day, and... what time zone are you in? Yeah... I want to be there with you.

There isn't a date set yet. It should be sometime next week or the week after, one of those depending on the severity. I have a meeting with the surgeon next week.

The kundalini made me less power hungry because it made me content for the first time. I'm faster and stronger than I've ever been. I seem to have unlimited energy. I can run for what feels like forever and I'm dropping weight.

I've been hoping that those hernias will resolve on their own.

It's good to be so content.

Is it possible for them to resolve on their own? They said I needed surgery.

You know, I really don't know. With that said, I also think that nearly anything is possible with kundalini.

I had a health problem crop up that I went into meditation for the express purpose of healing and saw the fires of kundalini rise right to the area that had the problem and was immediately cured. Looked like lightening. Anyhow, this issue would not have resolved on it's own without antibiotics and dental care.

That's interesting. I was thinking the same thing but I assumed it was the endorphins being released. I had what I thought was a sprained foot but I felt the kundalini begin to rise up my spine and haven't had any pain or swelling there since.

You could give it a try.

All the same though, I'd surely have the doctors give you their examinations to make sure of the hernia condition either way.

Are you still having pain?

Edited to clarify what I meant to say.

With my hernia, yeah. More like strange numbing sensations and a lot of discomfort in my colon. I decided to quit smoking because that aggravated it.

What have the doctors said needed to be done? Repair the wall... er, intestinal/colon lining?

Repair the wall. They said they would either need to sow it up or pop it back in whatever that means

That's good. Thought that you had said that they were taking it out. I wasn't sure I had read that right.

Yeah, hernias... imagine a slightly blown up balloon and how you can squeeze out a section in between your thumb and forefinger so that's there's a little balloon as well as the rest of the balloon.

That's kind of like what a hernia does... part of the wall balloons out creating a sack. Those sacks can pop in and out. Created by the weakness in the wall lining. I would have thought that the doctors would have advised against doing anything strenuous.

They do but I don't really consider running strenuous. I feel too good to sit still.

Just no heavy lifting! right?

I spent a lot of time sitting afterwards as I had to get all my thoughts out and did that by journaling. Hours and hours and months and months of writing. Still have that two foot high stack of spiral notebooks.

I see. I understand and agree. The word God does conjure up a mental construct of something "out there" rather than being part and parcel of everything as well as within. I have come across that mental construct block many times before. So, this could be very helpful.

Though, that presents me with a difficulty that maybe you can help me out with. How would you use this replacement word being? Can you give me an example or two?

Much appreciated.

How would you use this replacement word? Not sure what you mean, but you dont use it you simply accept it, being is the one creator, the one energy point we have all come from, all belong to and will all return to. Yes being is God but by saying your inner being rather than God it becomes far easier to feel part of it rather than something outside of us that must be worshiped.

In his book, Eckhart Tolle describes Being as the eternal, the ever present One Life force beyond the forms of life that are subject to life and death. Being is not only beyond but also deep within EVERY form.

I guess what hes saying is Being is ALL. (God is ALL). People shouldnt try to understand their inner Being by constantly over trying to find it or ask questions about it. They should just quietly accept it and feel its inner presence in those rare peaceful times in meditation when the mind is totally blank. When the mind is not active this is when we are able to connect and feel our inner Being, our connection to all that is.

From what I gather this was an accidental awakening. Which worries me, because due to your symptoms, I really want to avoid such an accident happening to me. Meditation exercises in releasing energy might be helpful. And from what I read, its better to discharge energy in water. Doing visualizations during showers might be helpful, but running water is good. Simply discharging into the space around you can make you prone to feeling ill from the negative energy around. The water seems to take away and purify it. I can't see auras, but I have done some energy work and find water is useful when I start to feel pain and bad energy in my hands. I wonder what the golden aura means. My best friend made friends with someone we visited often. She was somewhat new age and she kept saying how honored she was to have met me. It made me feel uncomfortable, though we all had fun together overall and got into quite a few interesting out of the box discussions about things.
Finally I asked her, and she said she sees auras, and my crown aura was golden. Surprisingly we were opposites politically, her family being staunch conservative type liberals that were socially connected out east with the families of political figures. Whereas, I am a grass roots, socialistic believer in a system of complete equality. Zeitgeist's new movie promoting a moneyless resource society would be the closest, so in the end we debated certain things a lot. Funny thing about her assessment was the closest I could get to aura colors was, more of a psi awareness without seeing. So we would compare impressions about those we knew and surprisingly they matched most of the time.

Isnt gold the colour of courage? To visualize it in meditation is to seek out and improve ones courage. I know someone who sees gold alot in meditation, it sounds a good colour to see.

yes its not good to feel bad energies from awakening the kundalini. I have felt many dark over powering energies and the best way is to reject them as soon as you feel them. I once felt a very dark energy and that was hard to escape. I didnt use water to get rid of it I just surrounded myself with a mental shield of white light and stood up to the force.

I think when we open our chakras and the kundalini we open a psychic door and if we arnt careful all sorts can get in, especially in the first few weeks after. Once we are able to tell the difference and shut bad energies off it becomes a lot easier.

I'm not sure what gold means, but the water was useful for me doing energy work when I start to feel pain and strange energetic discomfort in my hands. I read it on a forum discussing psi healing and tried it immediately. Finding ways to discharge the energy would be helpful.

Edit to add: The physical response from this awakening seems like a very much larger version of my sons response to beginning meditation. He got a bad headache the first couple of times and then it stopped happening. He must have been dealing with things internally too.
