Syria's foreign minister has accused the US of an act of "criminal and terrorist aggression" over what it says was a helicopter raid on its territory.

Walid Muallem said Sunday's attack saw four US aircraft travel eight miles inside Syrian airspace from Iraq and kill eight unarmed civilians on a farm.

To have such sophisticated state-of-the-art weaponry, we are either having a lot of "accidents" or have no issue with collateral damage provided the one target we claim is in the location is terminated with extreme prejudice.

We can take the militarys word for it that they were attempting to destroy a terrorist cell or group in the area but at what price? How much is too much when children are being blown to bits that have nothing to do with the conflict?

If say Mexico crossed the border to kill a suspect and bombed an American home because that suspect was in it's backyard would we take issue with this?

Are such actions the actions of a terrorist nation?

Of course WE would, but this is the double standard we live in.
If another nation did the same things we do, we would be at war with them.
But it's the mighty and infallible U.S. government, so nobody better dare do anything about it, unless they want to be the next on our hit list.
This is why I'm so ashamed of my own country, we allow these people to run amuck doing anything they want in OUR name.
And if you DARE to stand up and say not in my name, you are labeled a terrorist, and added to their list.

Seriously though, what are the odds that a bunch of grubby, cave-dwelling Afghan tribesmen are liable to terrorise and topple the West? Not much, eh? Possibly a big concocted pile of steaming horsesh*t, eh? How the f*** do they keep escaping the high-tech allies, eh? Racing camels?

I'd probably buy "those terrible Moslem foes!" if they weren't such a non-threat and general non-entity.

There is no doubt that our Commander-in-Chief's personal ideology is the motive force behind what would otherwise be derided as a 'despicable' act if, for example Russia attacked targets in Georgia....,

Remember the law? It's for us; not the ruling class.

Nations compel millions to die, for causes drummed up by amoral leaders world-wide. Do you think somehow out leaders are any better?

Our leaders draw imaginary lines between us and get us to kill each other over it. Our leaders determine that others are 'not like us', and command us to kill and destroy them - for our safety.

UK, Syria, Chile, US, it doesn't matter. Those in command use their authority to drive us to kill each other because they say so. If the crew had disobeyed or failed to comply with the orders they have they go to jail, ruin their futures, and become outcasts. Never mind that half of them probably had no real idea what was wrong with going in there and attacking in the first place.
