The suspicionless warrantless Homeland Security checkpoint seizure & drug dog search depicted in the photo above took place on the afternoon of May 16, 2008. The only crime committed by the operator of the vehicle receiving the extra special attention from armed federal agents & their specially trained canine pal was the crime of driving along a public highway located over 40 miles North of the border.

This site also has pictures and earth images where the check point is blocked out.
Although the DHS site says these have been halted they are still operating AFTER they had supposedly shut them down. I take that back they are on the borders only? According to DHS themselves as a deterant for terrorist activity coming into the USA.( third link pdf. of operations)
The questions I propose is why if they are check points are they tagging the vehicles and why are the "officers" not American?
