I was doing some graphics work and trimming and cutting some files. I wanted a border, too.
So I'm cropping like mad and cutting&pasta is flying like Scissorhands. About 20 minutes later I do a browse and look up onto my screen and see this:
...at first I couldn't see it. Then...
But, I swear, I did not do this on purpose, didn't notice doing it, and yet it's perfect.
...Well-l-l-l, almost perfect.

I gotta grant it to you. It's perfect. Not only the noses but the chin with the "divot".
What exactly was it that you were trying to create?

It was in a frame, sort of a wide border, and I wanted the frame to put on an avatar was using.
I didn't pay =any= attention to the Strieber alien within.
When I got done, (I was moving very quickly on a hot avvy request; uh hot as in hot off the presses) I did a group save and exited.
Later I'm looking for something and see this strange wider version in thumbnail, so I pull it up.
I'm watching TV, so I don't look that closely. Then suddenly I see the two noses and it freaked me out.
At the time I had no memory of how that could have happened.
Since then, piecing it together this has to be the explanation.
But it was so subtle, and even sort of subliminal that it freaked me out.
In fact, who's to say that real Aliens don't have two noses.
It sort of hits at the 'Uncanny Valley' hypothesis. It's slightly different to a human face, but subtly odd such that we get easily creeped by it.
Anyway that's my thought.
