McCain supporters take down your yard signs and take down your bumper stickers. Your safety is too important, seems like some Obama supporters can not control their anger at the thought of someone voting against their messiah.

I'm not taking down my signs, not am I going to remove my bumper stickers. I WILL NOT be intimidated into giving up my freedom of speech by a bunch of thugs. I may not be in the greatest shape, but I sometimes carry a cane (a club, really) when my knee acts up. I might have to start carrying it on a daily basis. Mess with me at home, and out comes the shotgun.

Raising taxes is a legit issue as to why one would not vote for Obama.

Obama is raising taxes for people that have an income of $250,000 or higher.

Its messed up that politics can turn to violence. One bad apple ruins the bunch, right? Wrong! All because a couple of a holes didn't learn self control does not mean that all democrats are bad people. I don't support either of them, but i don't think people should take down their signs and what not. Its what you believe in, no matter if its politics, religion, ect. We are in America.. Or whats left of it.

Obama can't raise or lower taxes as President. That is for Congress to decide. Look it up in the Constitution. And even if he propose it to Congress they may see it otherwise. Therefore Obama tax plan is no guarantee.

People do ugly things. They show the best of themselves [sometimes] in times of dire turmoil; they illustrate the worst of themselves in times of duelling ideologies. It will and has happeded for both sides. These "people" do no represent the totality, or even a segment, of the party in question as a whole. It's a sad and tawdry by-product of people on both sides of the fence that believe their opinions are worth fighting for.

If you all have to have a neighborhood watch to guard your signs, then I hope you can agree upon the signs, or at least agree upon your right paid in blood to display them and the right to disagree without rancor, but to protect each other from those that would seek to limit your freedoms.

This is not so much a commentary on how some people of a political persuasion can't control their tempers, but rather a sad commentary on how regular people are taking their frustrations out on what they see as the root cause of an extended war with many casualties, an economy that is faltering under the Republicans it's all good watch, and the perception that it could still be close in the elections and that is just too much for some to take.

But before casting the first stone, let's look at what could have happened to cause such a drastic action of protest. I'm sure many people in America know someone who has either been killed in the current war or been maimed. Now what if that someone was a dearly loved family member.

Many people have been laid off also, and with bills piling up and many losing their houses we hear about a 700 billion dollar bail out bill to rescue the people responsible for many losing those jobs. To add insult to injury, many of the ones behind the failing economy are leaving with millions in a golden parachute.

So before thinking one faction or another are just non law abiding bad people think about putting yourself in their shoes, and then think about a candidate that says we may need to be in Iraq and Afghanistan for another 100 years...It is just too much!!!

Back in the 1930's, the Democratic Socialist Party, also know as the Nazi Party used the same tactics of assaulting people and committing violence on people to intimidate them. When they finally succeeded in taking the nation, they ended up causing a world war and leaving millions dead.

Remeber the words of Joe Biden, who said the "Mark my words. Obama is going to need you there in the cities because Obama will make a decision and at first it will appear as though we were not right..."
