Al-Qaeda calls on America to vote for McCain

www.dailymail.co.uk

Twin Towers' terror group al-Qaeda would welcome a pre-election terror attack on the U.S. as a way to usher in a McCain presidency, a website revealed.

A message was posted on the al-Hesbah Web site said if al-Qaeda wants to exhaust the United States militarily and economically, 'impetuous' Republican presidential candidate Senator John McCain is the better choice because he is more likely to continue the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

'This requires presence of an impetuous American leader such as McCain, who pledged to continue the war till the last American soldier,' the message said.

'Then, al-Qaeda will have to support McCain in the coming elections so that he continues the failing march of his predecessor, Bush.'

SITE Intelligence Group, based in Bethesda, Maryland, monitors the Web site and translated the message.

'If al-Qaeda carries out a big operation against American interests,' the message said, 'this act will be support of McCain because it will push the Americans deliberately to vote for McCain so that he takes revenge for them against al-Qaeda. Al-Qaeda then will succeed in exhausting America till its last year in it.'

OK, this comes from the Daily Mail, so is likely to have an anti McCain spin, but that aside, this could be the impending attack we have been hearing so much about recently.

Whether it is a realistic goal is questionable - the US collapsing and being defeated because of a prolonged conflict against a "ghost" organisation and the massive amounts of money drained from the economy during said conflict.

Having read a few reports about McCain, I have little doubt that he has a bad temper and is prone to letting it get the better of him, but is he stupid enough to risk everything to "defeat" am enemy who are fairly innefectual in comparison to the US military?

Personally I don't think so, but "al qaeda" apparently do.

The other side of the coin could be that they are more scared of Obama for some reason thqan they are of McCain.

Or the whole thing could be just a double bluff - "al qaeda" have had little publicity for some time now, and they may just be stirring the pot a little.

Whoever posted that, whether it be Al Qaida or the Women's Institute, is spot-on. Keeping the wars going, and more importantly the spending, is the best way to topple the US's dominance. The US's greatest strength is its greatest weakness.

Its probably a deception. When they tell the public that they support McCain, the American people will vote for Obama instead. Thats Al Qaeda's intent.

Of course, but when some dictators supported Obama, it wasn't a trick, it was the truth! Oh wise partisan pundits of ATS, thanks for always knowing which way to spin every story so that it fits your agenda.

Funny because isn't the story by GOP candidates that the terrorists want the Democratic party candidate to win? I think they brought that up with Kerry and now with Obama. I'm too busy to search but maybe this rings a bell with someone.

Something to ponder. If one wants to believe the theory that our government was the ones who did the 9/11 attack, and came up with the name Al-Qaeda to cover their deeds, then wouldn`t it make sense that they would want McCain in office? Just something to think about. I`m not saying it`s true, only a theory.

"Hello, John? This Al-Queda."

"What do you MEAN, Al-Queda, who? We are in the throes of plan B, as we discussed."

"What do you MEAN, who is this! NO! I do NOT want a campaign flyer, you imbicile!"

"FINE!~ I'm going to call the Daily Mail and tell them *sputter* TERRIBLE things about you!! See if I don't!"

Yes, friends, the Daily Mail, on the pulse of secret intelligence, shaping lives, crafting dynasties.

OP, thanks for the article. I hope you don't mind my having a little satirical fun with the article. I've been in the sun all afternoon, if that counts for anything

It's all over this board. People posted that Hezbollah wanted Obama to win because he was weak. They ate that garbage up with a spoon.

This comes out and it's "reverse psychology". Don't you love how no matter what happens it is always a positive for them?

This just in, Breaking News...

John McCain voted for the bail out and wants to give socialistic tax rebates back for health care.

Conservative Response

John McCain is a maverick. He's just voting this way so that he gets independent and liberal votes and then he'll become the conservative we all know his is!

So what you are saying is if Al Queda says:

Vote for McCain; they want you to vote for Obama.
Vote for Obama; they want you to vote for Obama.

I think they are just looking to stir up malcontent over here. That's why they keep switching endorsements. Get it?

Destabilize American politics. . .

This is not some secret ObamaisaMuslim conspiracy.

Sigh.

If you were a coward in a cave some where in the Pakistan Afghanistan border and you heard McCain will keep our troops in Iraq for 100 years would you want McCain to win? Then Obama says enough is enough Iraq stand up for your self we are heading to Afghanistan to crush the real enemy would you want that? It's clear they fear Obama or should. McCain they know will act on emotion and out dated thinking he will ignore history and just like the Russians with the Soviet Union who destroyed their empire economical, McCain will break our economies back the dollar will collapse then what bring in the AMERO? no thank you!

Sounds like a false flag political endorsement.

There's only one man I can think of that thinks in that manner and he's behind Obama.

Certainly reads like a "ZeeBee'ism" to me.

Al-qaeda and Hamas really should get together and figure out who they want to be the POTUS. The terrorists can't agree on who they want. Wonder if they'll fight it out and start beheading each other over this and so we'll have less of them to deal with.

Hamas endorses Obama

This is rich! I agree with Al-Qaeda. Who woulda thunk that? At this point in time I'd believe anything. This world is nuts.

Great idea, Flyers Fan, maybe they'll duke it out over our election and wipe each other out before the big upcoming surprise Biden promised gets us.

Gird your loins, folks!

Reverse psychology 101:
Say you want what you don't to encourage your enemies to do what you really want.

Lots of people believe Obama has supporters who were main contributers to his campaign, who have very close ties to terrorist organizations. They believe that he's of Muslim faith, and his whole Christianity facade is a farce.

This article makes me wonder if it's true... unless of course the McCain campaign wants me to feel this way so they created a story.... Politics are so dirty.

here is my take.

hamas wants obama, because he will make israel give up everything in any future peace talks. hamas is funded and trained by sheite ( however you spell that ) Iran.

sunni AQ wants mccain so the fight can continue. AQ wants to fight fight fight.....they know they are killing us with "a thousand lashes."

seems to me hamas ( sheite ) and AQ ( sunni ) would naturally have different opinions.

You explanation makes a lot of sense.

I fear however that it is far too nuanced of an answer to satiate the fears of some of the rabid political spin-meisters that seem to lurk in this forum.

Because, we all know that Obama is a Muslim sleeper agent bent on world domination.

Sheesh.

I can't help but see the humor in the news story, sorry. It sounds like something the onion would write.

Can you imagine a new line of Ads with a pale group of awkwardly smiling Al-Qaeda operatives giving the camera a thumbs up and saying, "We are the base, and we approve of this message".

I kinda sorta makes sense to me.. if I consider it in terms of a boxing match.

Consider a really big, strong, heavy, boxer (the US).

His opponent, a smaller, weaker, lighter fighter (AQ).

If the smaller fighter can avoid the knockout punch and keep hitting his opponent with some fast, sharp hits the fight begins to swing more in his favor the longer it lasts. The bigger fighter simply runs out wind first and becomes more worn down and slower the longer the fight lasts.

If I think of it in those terms, AQ wanting the fight to continue makes perfect sense to me..

The counter point is that there is always the risk for the smaller fighter of the big fighter landing a haymaker right and scoring a KO.

As someone else said this is probably reverse psychology. If terrorists were to endorse obama this would mean naturally people would vote for McCain. Now why would the terrorists be so stupid to endorse someone who by their endorsement would end up losing. My point is that any terrorist group who endorses a candidate is afraid of that candidate and their policies and will "endorse" him as a way to get him out of the way, and in their eyes leave the weaker candidate behind.

OBAMA 08!!!
A CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN
