The End of a Era

November 4th, 2008

On this date, a new leader will be chosen, by The People or Others Unknown, a new figure will take the stage. The past eight years have been eight years that will changed generations.

President George W. Bush, formally stepping down on January 20th, the new leader will begin to formulate their own doctrine of political tyranny.

Whether you agreed with his policies, or strongly opposed them, you were able to wither through this far. Stock Markets tumbled, wars were fought, and a new government emerged. Federal power rose to a new level, and new directives were issued. Questionable or not, these will have a profound impact on us in a future date.

For this, I applaud you on your efforts. Even though liberties were stripped from their holdings, and privacy was trampled upon, we stood strong.

November 4th, 2008 is the End of a Era. The end of presidency that has caused many fellow citizens grief, despair and death. These years of tyranny are not without good deed, though few and far between.

For this, I mark the End of a Era.

The end of a war which has devastated thousands and millions of families across this once-great nation, will surly, if not quicker, come to a end soon enough. A economy policy that has been tragic to investors, will climb itself up with help from this new figure.

Gone are the days when a President serves The People. Since the Golden Days of the Republic, a President has not representative the interests of The People, but the interests of the system that governs us.

For this, I bade a formal goodbye to our President. Willing or not, he has altered the course of a nation. Even though we have suffered under his tyranny, we forget a important aspect of leadership.

We try to elect leaders that will representative us well, and support us. We elect leaders based on merit and honesty, wellness and loyalty, friendliness and reverence. For this, in current times, we do not respect people who are not representing our best interests at heart. We throw around names and ideas that mock them. We are all forgetting a essential aspect though. Once it is added, it all seems to make more sense.

When we elect a leader, millions have cast their ballot for him. Millions have voted for another. Either way, we have elected a leader. For this very aspect, just because he has taken on the responsibility of attempting to put us back in our right place. To stabilizing our nationality, and put the issues at heart.

Just because George W. Bush has failed to lead us does not mean that we have the right to disrespect him. He leaded us, and took us the responsibility when he swore upon his Bible, that he would do everything in his power to uphold that very document that our civilization was founded on.

On November 4th, a new figure will emerge, and on January 20th, 2009, George W. Bush will step down from office.

This marks a time of transition, which can lead to turmoil, grief, and disrepair, but will also guide us to a new goal.

Agreed, or not, President George W. Bush has lead us the past eight years, with having the oath upon him that he would uphold it. That is why November 4th and January 20th will mark

The End of a Era.

As a liberal, tree hugging, peacenick that i am, i will be full of glee to see this evil leave the White House.
And on to another one, for sure. We dont know what we are getting, how they will handle things, etc., but its bon voyage to the Bushe's and the Cheneys and hello to ???????

Life has surely changed. The world ended during the Bush administration.
We just exist now and wait to see if we go one more day without a scratch.
If we do, it has been a good day.

So when you vote, ask your higher power for guidance, it is our lives, after all.
