There's a new TMC video just out.

www.isro.org...

Great video!!

WoW! Pretty sexy stuff!
I wish the res was a little better! And it only works in IE, not Firefox. Darn!
I suggest you use Windows Media Player and open the url there, save it and then see this in full screen without the fits and starts! Flying over the surface of the Moon, looking through your porthole, is quite an experience!!

But where the dickens are Hoagland's glass structures??? I didn't see any!!

Cheers!

Not as yet. Now I'm not sure if it is possible to provide a hi def vid on the inter net. Unfortunately the amount of bandwidth available would probably not allow this. Like 'You Tube' where the res sucks big time.

Cheers!

C'mon man, shake a leg and get cracking on the query posed to you!

Cheers!

I am responding / have responded / will respond, C'mon man, gimme a break! Sometimes I am up to my neck in things that I do in normal life (job is one of them)

And that damned red U2U signal is so easy to miss. Wonder when ATS will come up with a program to crash the system and reboot to remind the user that a U2U needs to be pandered to.

Hi about the resolution, was comparing it with Kaguya videos here:

www.youtube.com...

www.youtube.com...

Two things i observed, Kaguya looks like it's in a higher orbit. I thought it was at 100 km orbit, same as Chandrayaan. Also i see very few craters in the Kaguya videos.

Did Chang e 1 release any video that we can compare resolution with?

Wonder if the lack of resolution is due to bandwidth issues. I wish we get to see the actual resolution mapping of the flybys with different views. But then i may be seeing my Beer half full..

Cheers!

Considering we would not get to see the hi res vids, I'm starting to see my beer half empty!!

This seems to be a totally computer generated 3D animation based on the TMC stereographic images, as opposed to the earlier video of lunar flyby.

Chandrayaan-1 feeling heat while orbiting the sunlit side of the moon

India's Chandrayaan-1 spacecraft has successfully sent back some of its first science data and images from the moon, but the spacecraft is also experiencing rising temperatures, and mission managers have decided to use the instruments sparingly to avoid overheating. Chandrayaan-1 is currently orbiting over the sunlit side of the moon, and a rise in temperatures inside the spacecraft was expected, but still is a cause for concern

Well it definitely has half the res that Chandrayaan does.. 10m per pixels as opposed to 5 for C-yaan

Haven't you ever heard of Turkey Biryani of South India?
Gosh, you have wasted half of your life time. I am really sorry for you. My heartfelt condolences.

Now, to avoid a yellow triangle with an exclamation in it and accompanying mods' off-the-post adornment, I have a question. It seems to me that the second video of Chandrayaan looks like window viewing from a lunar train. Does it have anything to do with the 5m resolution? It is a pretty good video!

PS: What the terrorist doing in Mumbai is cooking Biryani. What the NSG and Marine Commandos doing to terrorists is called Turkey Biryani.

I wonder, will the probes be taking pictures of the dark side of the moon?

do we have any picture of the dark side of the moon?

I think it is interesting that india is up there at this time, mainly because of this for me...

www.youtube.com...

He says that he remembers being shown a vision of the future, and one of the main things that leads to the ARRIVAL and et disclosure is that someone finds and shows the world that there are buildings and ruins on the moon!

Yes, we have pictures of all of the "dark side".

The whole Moon has been photographed, sometimes with a better resolution than other times.

You just have to go to Google Moon, for example, to see the "dark side".

Didn't Japan send a probe to the Moon to take High Definition video
this past Spring? I seem to remember reading high expectations
for that mission to uncover lunar "secrets". Was anything seen
that would indicate non-natural formations, life, etc..? That topic
seemed to fall off of ATS very soon after the crafts' arrival to the
Moon.

Nope! Those turkeys cooked their own goose and also got boiled in their own stew. The NSG then ate the resultant Turkey broth for breakfast!!
