Government Bailouts Herald New Era of 'Tax Payer Slavery': Ron Paul

www.infowars.com

Even limited government has a basic duty to defend against force and fraud. Some argue that force is somehow permissible just because the entity engaging in it is “economically significant.” But one could use this reasoning to prop up slavery. It could be deemed unfortunate but economically beneficial, and indeed these arguments have been used historically to deprive people of their liberty. But slavery should never be tolerated regardless of any economic benefit, just as systemic fraud should not be tolerated. Some banks on Wall Street should fail. Fannie and Freddie should fail. They are perpetrating fraud against the people. Yet, government insists on rewarding behavior which should instead be investigated, prosecuted, and punished.

Once again, Dr. Paul shoots straight from the hip, and accurately describes what this monumental strong-arm robbery and thuggery of the populace is amounting to.

We have been heisted not once but now twice: Once in the initial credit bubble and lending fraud scheme that CREATED this nightmare, and now yet AGAIN, as these VERY SAME fraud profiteers are not only NOT punished for their initial crimes that led to this mess, but are REWARDED it by having the equally fraudulent fed and big brother ROB THE TREASURY and saddle the struggling tax base with the bill!

We are indeed, the modern day SLAVE society. And Wall street, the fed, and big brother are our masters.

Now get back to work at your $6.00 per hour job tax-slave, the CEO's need their $20 million bonuses!

Unfortunately, it seems we are headed into a new era of slavery, however, where all taxpayers will be forced to render to the Fed and big banking interests the bulk of the fruits of their labor, possibly through higher taxes but definitely through the eroding force of inflation.

The Fed and the government today is simply emulating Britain, approximately 233 years ago. They truly aren't making it hard to attract so much hatred. No taxation without representation... the saying goes. And all it will take now is one spark, one significant event to turn all the people from this trance that is the American "dream".

Anymore this is how I feel about the government. They have taken a great nation into ruin. Dont worry though the peeps on the inside will be well taken care of while us peons suffer. We will have to keep an eye open at night and gun next to our bed to make sure a hungry neighbor dont break in. Im predicting right now our country goes bankrupt in 2009. That is the big event Joe Biden speaks of. Martial law and a new currency will come of it. I wish I could throw more than a middle finger.

Uhmmm I have to ask

When did the old Era of Tax Payer slavery end?

Last I checked this was just.... adding a few bales of cotton to my inventory list for the day.

LOL, good point. The crazy thing is, we've all been indoctrinated since our youngest years of learning that this is "normal" and "acceptable"---Work, work, work, pay, pay, pay into the system....Be a good little cog in the machine and keep toiling so that half of your check keeps feeding the system of never-ending greed of your rulers. "This is to be accepted, this is normal"....

But I think it has spun so much further out of control and "in-our-faces" in recent years that even life-long indoctrinates are now awakening to the wrongness of it all.

Honestly we did everything we could against the bail out. It failed the first time because the public outcry was heard. We would not have this bill place the blame and burden on the middle class. Yet the second time it came around "special interests" coerced those house members to vote against the bill and sell out America.

Very true it is sort of conditioning that we are subjected to. We perceive this as normal and pay our taxes. Even the Income tax which has been proven to be illegal is still being paid by millions. They do not want to defer from the system and fight change as much as possible.

I hope you succeed but my bet is your doomed and the republic so many were so proud is gone forever.

Rome fell.... so shall we and from the ashes rise a new innocent country untouched by the hands of the greedy.

this takes me back to a nice little surprising snippet mr. bill clinton said this past sunday while i was out doing errands driving listening to NPR.

on the interview, bill actually said: "i think the IRS should be disbanded"

[sarcasm on] at that point i think i saw some light shooting through the clouds and a sound of "ahhhhhhhhh" like a billion little slave angles singing in free unity. [sarcasm off]

As much as it does have to do with greed, Ron Paul is not speaking about the true agenda behind this "crisis"

When people talked about a European Union, that was one thing, but when it was mentioned that the U.S would also follow suit, there where cries of "No way! - Never!" yet this is the very thing that will eventuate from this current financial "crisis"

Its planned, as Ron Paul has stated, why are these entities being looked after instead of being investigated and prosecuted? Because if a true investigation were to take place, the agenda would be brought to light.

Do the research - every single financial "crisis" we've ever had, has been traced back to the same groups who's agenda is control. Once they have a North American Union, you can truly kiss your declaration of independence goodbye and all the freedoms entitled therein.

This is what I believe Ron Paul is fighting for.

I would LOVE to have the audio clip to that..someone must somewhere..it needs to go viral!

And here we are being led with thunderous applause into a one world currency; when once upon a time doing away with the Fed and the IRS sounded absurd.

i was just thinking the same thing.
-------------------------------------------
I remember way back in High School my senior year Government Teacher one day was talking about how Taxes should be illegal by now. (this was in (1994-95) Anyway to get to the point the founding fathers put a provision in the original Constitution about taxes could only be collected until such time as the federal Government could find a way to pay for itself by other means. i never could find that provision though so either it was amended out or was never there.

But he did have a good Point. your telling me now in 2008 the federal government can't find a way to sustain itself without taxing us. i guess it was just easier to make us slaves and tax us into poverty

edit to add:

The Bailout bill was todays version of taxation without representation. something our founding fathers left England for and fought a war over.

Funny. I kind of thought the bailout bills heralded a new era of SOCIALISM!

For years we fought a Cold War and spent countless billions for our Democratic way of life. Now, we are ready to usher in a closer approximation to Communism. Everyone wants something for free. Careful what you ask for. When are people ever going to understand that:

1) Nothing is free.
2) A government handout is never a handout, someone pays for it.
3) The government never hands anything out for free. (welfare isn't free, in exchange, your personal life is more closely scrutinized by the one you have grown dependant on, aka, the Government!)

The bailout only benefits those CEO's. As a mortgage payer, you aren't going to see squat.

The morons out there that think someone is going to "take from the rich" and "give to the poor" are delusional. They'll only give to themselves.

Open your eyes!

I have seen this word "Socialism" used over and over to describe this corporate welfare. This is NOT socialism but rampant capitalism, designed to protect those at the top no matter what happens.

britguy, thats because most people dont know what socialism is, they just think they do. To most americans, "socialism" is a boogeyword, something evil to be uttered at any idea you dont like, and they cant tell you the difference between socialism and communism, and they cant recognize the difference between capitalism and fascism. I see tons of people, on here and in life, who make comments disparaging socialism and communism as if they are an authority, even though they have never read a single book on it. Despite the fact that the countries rated with the highest human rights, and the highest quality of life in the world are those with socialist democracies such as norway, sweden, switzerland, etc.

More like those at the top doing everything they can to keep their jobs and cover their @$$e$..

Many people have made millions off of the recent economic troubles..

Read this....

So long, suckers. Millionaire hedge fund boss thanks 'idiot' traders and retires at 37

"The low-hanging fruit, ie idiots whose parents paid for prep school, Yale and then the Harvard MBA, was there for the taking," he wrote. "These people who were (often) truly not worthy of the education they received (or supposedly received) rose to the top of companies such as AIG, Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers and all levels of our government," he said.

"All of this behaviour supporting the aristocracy only ended up making it easier for me to find people stupid enough to take the other side of my trades. God bless America."

A little of the current topic, but related to the subject. I've just read a prediction, by an economics teacher at the near by university where in his worst case scenario, the dollar he expects to collapse Mid June 2009.

It's on youtube. As part of a presidential candidates debate from a while back. I've seen it not too long ago. So it exists. He also said that the fed is a government within our government, on another occasion, and that we need to retake it ( or something to that meaning ).

I'd bet anything, that if he got elected, he'd be assassinated within a few days. The people in power will exercise the use of power in order to preserve it.

Kind regards

I wish we had a Ron Paul in Britain! We're in just as dire a need of one. His words are soaked with intelligence and integrity from what I gather.
