I think by that quote you posted, the question should be "were you ever a Christian at all?" Frankly in my opinion the answer is, probably not. As I stated in my earlier post it's about a relationship, not your family identity or attending church, if you never had the relationship with Christ you were never a Christian to start with. I don't think there is such a thing as an ex Christian, but there are many people who call themselves Christians that are not.
