I predict there will be a picture of Obama semi-faking a tear, hence the sympathy vote.

Some time ago, my grandmother had a bad fall, from which she never fully recovered. She became mostly bedridden, and things took a turn to the worse. She passed away. I still feel sad.

Shame on you panning somebody who's going through tough time as "faking tears". If you are a hard-boiled cold-hearted type, don't count others as such.

Oh get off your high horse. You know damn well when he's alluding to. Obama made the comment in the beginning of the campaign that he could "no more disown reverend Wright than he could his white grandmother", meaning he considered Wright as family. And he ended up disowning Rev. Wright in favor of his campaign. Does that have any bearing on how easily he tosses aside family members in favor of his own career aspirations?

I find it hilarious that the usual Obamatrons are coming out to defend the guy and his "sickly" grandmother and hail the guy as a boy scout.

Yet when McCain put his campaign on hold to address the economic crisis that was a calculated move to get votes, eh? Boy, I LOVE the double standard you sheeple set and practice for yourself.

Let me add insult to injury in this case. Not only do I believe Barack Obama is FAKING this show of emotional caring for his "sickly" grandmother, but if she really is sick I wouldn't put it past someone from the Democratic party to have been the cause of her illness, perhaps even at Barack Obama's own order!

Remember she did tell the media a week or so ago that Obama was in fact born in Kenya, not Hawaii (
www.israelnationalnews.com...). Perhaps Obama began to sweat and told one of his goons to go shut her up before she said something really damaging to his campaign.

I seriously would not put it past Barack Obama to have ordered a hit on his grandmother to shut her up so as not to spoil his chances for POTUS.

Yes, I know you revere the man as a saint. Not all of us do, however. Some of us actually view his history and his character with an objective point of view.

I have disowned my own family, but I still don't have sinsister purposes.
*looks around shiftily*

If I know gradmothers, and I do,, she would not want him to stop this campaign to see her. and he is taking a risk by doing so.
A lot of time and money goes into these events that they are cancelling.

I think he is doing it on his own.

But we all know that if he DIDN"T stop to see g-ma. All these same people would be pegging him as uncaring and hearless and power hungry.

So no matter what, he is not going to win.

Anyone else see this post by FlyersFan on another thread? It shows real insight into O(bs)ama's motives here.

Besides Obama's sick grandma, there is only one thing sicker in this thread, and that is this post of yours.

Next time a close relative of yours is in the hospital, don't forget to put double quotes (like in "sickly") around their condition when you have to fill out papers and all. And please don't fake tears. Your family will be proud of you.

Your sarcasm and faux emotion fails yet again. Allow me to demonstrate the differences between myself and Obama, the master of lies:

1. I don't have a reputation for throwing my relatives and friends under the bus in favor of my political future
2. I don't have a reputation for being a known liar (proven several times).
3. I don't have a reputation for hanging around shady characters (Ayers and Rezko were just two)
4. I don't have a reputation for making campaign promises to my followers and then flip-flopping on them
5. I wasn't on tape saying that "whites couldn't be trusted" and other such slurs

And you call my accusations sick? I call your blind allegiance to this man sick and dangerous. I'll thank you not to act like the appalled human being over my post, Buddha, you are no one to judge me when you blindly follow a leader that will make the last 8 years look like a golden age of prosperity in comparison to what is to come.

1. That was a claim by Berg, not an actual quote from the grandmother.
2. That was his Kenyan grandmother! This story is about his American grandmother! Two different people!

Strange, if Obama is suspending his campaign to visit his grandmother, why is he in Indiana today?

He's flying out today after his speech in Indiana.

Do you guys read or watch the news?

Just an update on the actual story:

Source

WASHINGTON (AFP) — White House hopeful Barack Obama said in an interview Thursday he decided to travel to the bedside of his ailing grandmother because he wanted to avoid making the same mistake he made by not rushing to his late mother's side before she died.

When Obama's Kansas-born mother, Ann Dunham, passed away, I "got there too late," he told CBS television.

"We knew that she wasn't doing well but, you know, the diagnosis was such where we thought we had a little more time and we didn't. And so I want to make sure that I don't -- I don't make the same mistake twice," Obama said.

Well. sos. looks like you're right. Sounds like he has plans to kill her.

Sorry BH, just doesn't seem "kosher" to me (sorry for the term, it's the only one coming to mind right now)

If my grandmother was so sick that she "took a turn for the worse" I wouldn't wait 4 days to go see her. I certainly wouldn't announce 4 days early that I was going to stop everything and go see her in 4 more days.

And then to say that he's doing it because he doesn't want to be too late like when his mom passed, still makes no sense - why wait 4 days if time might be a critical factor?

When my dad took the turn for the worse, I told my job the same day that I was going on emergency leave/time off - flew out that night and I stayed for a week, literally on the death watch.

I guess there are other family members that haven't made the headlines that are taking care of his grandma, and possibly her final arrangements. We know his mom is gone, his grandfather is gone, so someone else must be there to take care of things, since Obama can comfortably wait 4 days to visit his critically ill grandmother.

My mom is still alive & I didn't have the luxury of waiting that long when my father died.

Must be a comfort to him to know that there are others there for her until he gets there.
