ok, I just found this out and thought it was QUITE strange.....

The last time the republican party had a president in office that did not have Bush or Nixon in office was 1928 with Hoover!.


I'd like to hear some thoughts & lite discussion on this weather this static is normal or CT?

Personally, I think it's totally a CT! LOL! whoota! Think about it, exactally 50 years to the YEAR that either a Bush or Nixon WAS NOT in office!

I can't find a chronological timeline to get a good view of who was in during the years..

The man who ended the cold war, brought honor back to the US military, and restored the economy after that idiot Jimmy Carter had his 4 years of damage.

As far as I know there was only one Nixon that has held presidential and vice presidential office. One Bush to hold both posts.Another Bush to hold the presidency.
Where is the conspiracy? Was Richard Nixon an illigitimate son of V. Bush?
Or did tricky Dicky have an affair with Barbra Bush and father George W.?
I just don't see the conspiracy.

Actually, its not entirely true. Gerald Ford was in office for a couple of years after Nixon resigned. Still, that's really just a technicality. You could accurately state that they haven't *won* a presidential election since 1928 without Bush or Nixon on the ticket either as president or VP.

The timeline would be:

1) Hoover 1928-1932
2) FDR 1933-1945
3) Truman 1945-1952
4) Eisenhower 1953-1960 (Nixon as VP)
5) Kennedy 1961-1963
6) LBJ 1963-1968
7) Nixon 1969-1974
8) Ford 1974-1976
9) Carter 1977-1980
10) Reagan 1981-1988 (GHW Bush as VP)
11) GHWB 1989-1992
12) Clinton 1993-2000
13) GWB 2001-2008

and so the statement is true..

I'm a thinkin Bush (the elder) was with Nixon in the second term. Without looking, I think Bush was the first ambassador to red China appointed by Nixon, but carried over some into Carter's term.

Nixon had a few years off from JFK through LBJ, then became prez.

The last time a Bush or Clinton WASN'T in office ( vice or president ) was Jimmy Carters term - how many people on ATS were born after 1979? All of those members have spent their entire lives under a Bush or Clinton in the Presidential or VP office.
