[12] Set up the standard upon the walls of Babylon, make the watch strong, set up the watchmen, prepare the (Am. Bushes): for the LORD hath (BOTH) devised and done that which he spake against the inhabitants of Babylon / Iraq.

Reading the verse in its entirety, the 'Am -Bushes' are actually set up by the Babylonians (Iraquis).

Are you implying that Dubya and Saddam set this whole thing up? ... surely not. (Sarcasm drips from the Pisky's tongue).

Not at all. What this verse says to me and seems to imply is that God sets up two AMERICAN Bush's (AM. BUSH'S) to bring down Iraq aka OLD Babylon. Bush Sr. then his son Bush Jr. God Bless.

ambush? you are assuming that the word for bush in hebrew
and the word ambush in hebrew are spelled with the same letters. therefore you could divide the word in half like that to make am bush.

i dont think thats right.

Personally i think we are Ephriam . 13 stripes, 13 colonies or maybe perhaps the 13 colonies was symbolic of all the tribes.

i dont know about the rest of the chapter, prophecy is hard to determine.
