A woman from Hull, England, got a spooky suprise when she looked at the picture she had taken of a shark at an aquarium.

IT’S just what you’d expect to see in a snap from an aquarium. A shark, blue water — and a disembodied HUMAN HEAD.

Spooky snap taken at aquarium

This is a great picture, definately freaky, but IMO too many things it could be other than a ghost. Then again i'm no photo analyst so i'll say my thoughts and offer it up to the board.

I would be a lot happier with the "dissembodied head" theory if we could see ths picture below it's neck.

To me, that looks like someone stood with thier back against the glass having thier pic taken, and they are looking up and back towards the shark to look at it.

The only problem with that theory is the colour of the head, it is the same as the coral/water. If someone was stood in front of the glass, surely we would get thier real colour and the water would be blue behind them?

Is it possible that the background colour can interfere with the object in the foreground on photos?

I know the lady says that her dad was stood next to her when the pic was taken, but that doesn't rule out someone else slipping in the piccy by accident. I've done it loads of times, especially when you are snapping something other people are looking at. You aim for a few seconds, then guarunteed someone has got into your shot by accident.

Good discussion pic anyway, looking forward to peoples opinions on this.

Haha fully coincidence.
The human brain is kinda programmed to recognize faces and sometimes it does the job a little to well and creates faces from normally boring objects.I bet if that pic was one or two degrees on any axis different you wouldn't see that face there.
Still kinda freaky though

Yes very scary...

I think it can just be those rocks or coral, but it's more likely that that is a someone's reflection on the glass.

Well it does look freeky! But in all realness here I test pics of the spirit type for people who do paranormal stuff. If I was presented with this the first thing I would point out is that the lines are far to perfect. In my own studies and others I have "never" seen a spirit with such perfect line...and being it came from the Sun... I would be very worried about its being real to start with. just my opion.

Got a very similar pic right here, only the fish is slightly smaller and the head is just of a friend, spooky no, not really uncommon either.

Phil Blait has this up on his blog over at Bad Astronomy for some reason, one of the posters in the comments showed it be a photoshop.

In all likelyhood, it is one of three things. Either somone photoshopped the head in (If that's the case they did a good job of finding a spot in the coral to stick it) or the face is due to the phenomenon of matrixing, or finding patterns in objects that cause your brain to form a picture of another familiar object. It could also just be an ordinary reflection. Thats just my two cents though.

I'd be more inclind to go with the photoshop theory if it was the mind seeing it in the shape of the coral then why does the eye have a white part like a human eye, if it was a reflection then it would not be blue, to the same extent it could be a spirit but once again more inclind to go wid the photoshop theory.

good thread

Thats cool, thanks for letting us in on it! I must say though the face does have a lot of detail to be in water and the picture to have been taken out side of glass looking in. The lighting on the face does not match lighting on other objects in the picture either.

Haven't you ever been in any of those aquariums where they have like the statues and stuff like pillars from Atlantis in with the fish to make them look cool. I mean COME ON! And seriously, if it's posted in the sun...As the French Imperial Guard would say...MERDE!!

Started a thread on this about a week ago.

It does look interesting, not really a reflection IMHO.

This is the greatest quote EVER for something like this:

...Colin Brown, chief executive of The Deep, said: “We are a scientific centre and we’re sure there must be a logical explanation.

"It’s just that we can’t find it. ...

"We KNOW there must be a logical explanation, but we just can't find it".

Any chance someone can post the picture here on ATS. The firewall at work wont let me access that site. Much appreciated.
