Sandra van der Meer who does the vocals for Tom Sigmond's One Moment gets my vote.

I don't know why, but when she hits those powerfull high notes, the hairs on my arms stand on end and I feel like I'm floating ... maybe that's why they call it 'Trance' music!





The vocals start at 1:50 with the best part starting at 3:33 if you don't want to listen to the whole 8:29 track.
They used to play it often on Sirius 33.

During the summer Olympics, I saw a chevy commercial.

I'm certainly happy that you mentioned Regina Spektor. As far as I am concerned, Regina is one of the most interesting female writers and performers around right now. She has such an interesting and enthralling voice. I just can't get enough of her.

Lord how could I forget Minnie Riperton's incredible vocal range -- five and a half octives! Every time I hear her hit those "impossible" notes, I literally get goose bumps up my spine.
