People on ATS expressed a lot of interest in recent OCt 14th threads. Blossum Goodchild had said there would be some kind of UFO appearance. What amazes me is how people give time of day to this and want to believe there is something new here because it falls under "New Age". The new twist is to connect old spiritualism to UFOs instead of older themes. Either way it is buying the word of some decietfull spirit or doctrine of demons. The Bible is clear

"But the Spirit [the Holy Spirit] explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons..." (1 Tim. 4:1).

Some more on channeling.

The new age is a load of garbage for me. The people behind the scenes want people to not believe in anything higher than us, while they believe in entities, above us.

The bull about man becoming god, feeds this crap.

yes the bible is clear(what??[*]) and the bible is just a bunch of channeling that didnt put a date on events

basically your saying thier spiritual stuff is crap, your spiritual stuff however is right becasue its older and we didnt bother putting dates on our day dreams of the future

*which part of the bible is clear? everybit gets misinterpreted to show one thing or another, jesus said going to church and praying for stuff was hypocritical and the actions of a heathen, god said people who take part in comunion are heathens emulating his religeon but will still not get into heaven

somehow that got misinterpreted to go to church on sunday say your prays and have a bit of communion while your there

New Age is the same concept as old age... Something mystical and magical is going to save us all from ourselves. Why can't we just adopt a wait and see policy. I mean really we are all going to die. I can point out just how ridiculous religion is when compared to the Oct 14th event. The only diference is the way we are saved and one actually puts a date on it instead of leaving it open.

see how long this thread about channelling stays...

I did a similar post yesterday, the14th and BG were not even mentioned, the post had a few flags and stars and quite a lot of responses, yet a moderator has decided to delete it DESPITE it breaching none of the T&C of the board. Also, no response to my U2U about it

ATS should chuck that deny ignorance BS motto away and state the truth, deny ignorance where it suits otherwise our dictatorship and censorship rules

Good luck with this one

noob,
I don't want to make this a thread on bible. But it serves as commentary on itself. Also it does take reading the whole thing. I know there are books that were omitted as well-let's not go there now. It is important to keep audience in mind when reading things Christ said. If you haven't read it all I'd encourage you to do so. Focus on Christ first.
With that all mind. I think 1 Tim. 4:1 is pretty straight forward..

reading the whole thing? you mean reading the bible cover to cover? ok im about 16 years ahead of ya

" It is important to keep audience in mind when reading things Christ said"

god says to moses ....
jesus says to the disciples .....

what should i keep in mind about these audiences?

your basically saying "ignore new age believe it becasue i say it thinking, and believe old age believe it becasue i say it thinking" i know its your religeon but do you really not see the irony?

gotta run to sisters for an hour ill look the quotes up when i get back if youd like

I don't think I understand the OP, does the OP mean that the Bible is right in everything?

The new twist is to connect old spiritualism to UFOs instead of older themes. Either way it is buying the word of some deceitful spirit or doctrine of demons. The Bible is clear

And that the channelers your speaking of, have taken Spiritualism and mixed it with the UFO Phenomenon? and that has become part of the New Age Culture?

If yes, then I could not agree more, I do however disagree strongly with your statement of the Bible being clear, I'm afraid that the Bible is only really clear to those who follow blindly without question, and really that is fine, I have no problem whatsoever with the Old Testament, I have some problems with the New Testament, and before its said this is about channeling, it wasn't me who mentioned the Holy Spirit or passages from a book.

Spiritualism firstly became what it is today, when every day people decided they would like to do what the gifted Shamanic peoples could do, and took it upon themselves to speak for the Spirit World, and the UFO phenomenon instead of being kept in the Scientific world, suddenly some of these Spiritualists decided maybe they could talk to the occupants of these phenomenon, which really does speak volumes to me.

Deceitful Spirits and doctrine of Demons? what are they exactly?

I find that through history, the Bible has been manipulated on more than several occasions, it has been twisted to fit the needs of whoever is preaching the word of the Bible at the time.

What you basically saw, where people seeing how much respect and reverence the visions of Shaman received, in fact after the leader of whatever peoples, next in the pecking order where the Medicine men or Shaman, even their leaders listened to the words shared, because of this it became almost inevitable that some would begin to abuse this most sacred of all the gifts passed down to man by the Creator (whichever GOD you worship) and IMO that is where the downfall of Mankind began.

Sure at first it was innocent enough, but then religion began to become organized, and it became more and more abused, then when leaders of these religions realized that certain people could do this for real, rather than their made up keep you in control version, they started to make excuses, and started the systematic execution of these people, which then led to the execution of those they just didn't like, Witches was one excuse used.

But that is a different story and too important to get lost in a thread which will more than likely to be closed because of another thread where nobody is reading anything but the first and last page.

IMO that thread should be closed and maybe a part 2 opened? everyone knows that nobody is reading what is in between, so many people wanting to get their opinion in meaning they read page 1 maybe a couple more, then shoot to the end before something bad happens or someone else thinks of the same post, which has already probably been said on more than a dozen posts already.

I mean enough already, it didn't happen, the lady is now getting messages telling her to kill herself for the Love of ***.

Why is it even being allowed in any thread to continue? she got it wrong, move along, have you never been wrong?

Yeah, so crazy. I emailed them as to the reasons why and haven't received a response. It does say please allow 48 hours though.

The thread was four pages deep and had very good conversation going. There was a lot of quality information in that thread. I've speculated to myself as to why considering T&C wasn't broken. As a possibility, it crossed my mind if Zorgon's post was the reason (it probably wasn't). That was a wicked post.

If you find out, I would like to know the real reason.

the point is your first post your discrediting new age beliefs by saying they are the ultimatley the work of demons

your using old age mytisism to discredit new age mystism but calling new age bad old age good

if youd simply said many new age predictions of ufo's comming interdimendional biengs etc have in many cases proved them selves wrong so dont beleiev them, then fine *

but your saying believe my choice of old age channeling/mystercism instead

and quoting the bible to prove your case

its just as easy to prove your brand of mystesism wrong with its own words as it is to use it to show newage is wrong

edit* actually it wouldnt be fine as they have a right to believe what they want but that way you wouldnt be using one form of mystisism to discredit another one

Where exactly are the dozens of predictions you speak of?

Unless your talking about the second coming? in that case where is he? is that not a prediction about future events which has also had its day and gone quite a few times if my memory serves me right?

You said you didn't want to turn this into a Bible thread? I fail really to see what it has to do with what you intended the thread to be about then, seeing as in the OP you use it to try and make your point?

Don't misunderstand me, i am not trying in any way shape or form to attack you, I simply want to see what your getting at? Please? forgive me if i seem ignorant, not my intention at all.

There was a time where New Age was about picking and choosing the 'right' parts of many different philosophies and ideologies and finding the most happiest and love filled way of living and being brotherly and sisterly with everyone.

Now it's turned into theosophy, with demigods and Lord Metatron and just stupid things. Perhaps it is human fallacies that allowed for this corruption of a free system, or perhaps it really was the NWO that just set up one more trap for people waking up to fall into.

azzlin,
First coming actually..
Check these www.clarifyingchristianity.com... To >>And that the channelers your speaking of, have taken Spiritualism and mixed it with the UFO Phenomenon? and that has become part of the New Age Culture? If yes, then I could not agree more ..

I meant as you say

I am saying there is no credibility with channelers. I have provided a reason many including myself believe the bible.

Since these prophecies were fulfilled by Christ you can exptrapolate the one's on rapture and second coming to have some credibility.

I think the decietfull spirits/demons are fallen angels...

noob ,
I understand your logic.. maybe it was old age mysticism.. Even so it's prophecies came true. No generalities..they were specifics. Eventually we could argue and it would come down to faith. If you have comparable New Age prophecies pleas post

IF you want to trust channellers it is OK with me.

ive covered this in a thread with old thinker before

a lot of the prophesis wernt prophesies in the first place, or were about king david or other pre christian biblical figures (see almost every prophecy from acts)

the old testament has been shown to have novel discrepancies, David and Goliath describes a Philostine but the armour he wears is very acuratley and can only describe a greek hoplite that didnt exist until after david killed goliath, no one else wore armour similar to this until after the greeks

archeological evidence shows much of the old testament wasnt as the bible says

the new testament has been meddled with and the people said to have written it in the first place couldnt have, the prophesies could easily have been written after the factto make them work

your argument is no more valid then if someone had come in and said turn away from new age falsety and embrace islam and quoted a few bits of the quaran

the entire point of this thread seems to be nothing more then trying to convert new agers to christianity as its your belief of choice

i agree some of the things people are asked to beleive can be damaging to them but no more so then the more extreme beliefs in any religeon

p.s. your link doesnt work

Hi Universal light

Thanks for the kind comments-i have been told by the moderator that the thread was deleted as it was related to 14/10 and BG despite it having NOTHING to do with those events. I wont mention the moderator concerned but they decided it broke springers rules about keeping all the posts about the GLF in one thread so they obviously didnt bother taking the time to read what it was actually about. To say im p###ed off is an understatement, thats why i have changed my signiture

This boards motto is supposed to be "deny ignorance", yet we have moderators who delete entire threads without reading them or understanding the point of them - can someone explain to me exactly how that "denies ignorance"

Yes, let's talk about idiotic, psychologically disturbed channelers.

There is one in particular I want to mention. A few years back he made all of these ridiculous predictions about the end of the world. Of course nothing happened. In fact, the way this guy described his "visions" sounded like he was high on drugs! He spoke of 10 headed dragons, lusty hot women and the whole world on fire...what a loony!! lol

Anyway, his name was John. He predictions are now known as The Book of Revelations.

The moral of this story is..."People in glass houses..."

Couldn’t Someone Just Write These Down and Pretend They Were Written Earlier?
Many people who do not believe in the Bible say this. However, manuscripts have been found that confirm that these various prophecies were written down 400-1,000 years before they actually occurred. The discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls put to rest most of such idle talk.

Were These Originally Intended to Be Messianic Prophecies?
Some of the prophecies occur as part of the text of a story. So, a natural question would be, “How do you know these are Messianic prophecies? Couldn’t someone have read these texts after Jesus came along and claimed they are Messianic prophecies?”

The reason we know these texts were intended to be Messianic prophecies is because they were recognized (and discussed) by the Jews before Jesus’ birth. For example:

One of the common debates was whether or not “the Messiah” was actually two people (or twins) since it seemed impossible to them that one person could accomplish both of the Messiah’s “goals” (Isaiah 61:1-3).

We now know that Jesus accomplished one goal (preaching the “good news” and becoming the sacrifice that saves us) when He came to Earth, told everyone God’s new plan of salvation, and was crucified.
He will fulfill the other goal (being our Savior and Lord, ruling at God’s right hand, and taking vengeance on the people who do not follow God) when He comes back to Earth (often called Jesus’ “second coming”).
This required being raised from the dead—a possibility the Jews never considered. When Jesus was raised from the dead, many Jews then recognized how the Messiah could be “one man.”

From that time, more than a billion Jews and non-Jews alike have chosen to get right with God and become Christians. Many of them made their decision based on the evidence of these fulfilled Messianic prophecies.

Couldn’t Someone Besides Jesus Fulfill These Prophecies?
The number representing the odds against them all being fulfilled by anyone would fill this entire website. This makes the fact that Jesus fulfilled them all a miracle in itself. Still, some questions that may come to mind are:

Couldn’t anyone else have fulfilled these prophecies if they really tried?
Even though Jesus fulfilled these prophecies, how do we know He is the Messiah. Other religions say they have a Prophet that followed in Jesus’ footsteps and is the real Messiah.
I understand the Jews are still waiting for the Messiah. Isn’t it possible that Jesus happened to fulfill these prophecies and that the “real” Messiah will still come some day?
You will notice that many of the prophecies are not under human control. In other words, if someone tried to fulfill all of them, how would they arrange to be (1) born in Bethlehem (2) with a virgin for a mother? Already they would have a problem—and these are only two prophecies. Even a casual glance through this list reveals that a person could not fulfill them by their own efforts.

There are many people that have claimed to be the Messiah (or a similar title that they gave themselves like “God’s Prophet”). Some of them founded false religions and cults, and have many followers. Anyone who has read the Bible expected to see them appear. Two thousand years ago, Jesus Himself said there would be many false Messiahs and prophets that follow him (Matthew 7:15; Matthew 24:11; Matthew 24:23-25; Mark 13:21-23). Examine these other “prophets” yourself. Was their appearance clearly predicted in the Bible? Did they fulfill all the messianic prophecies? The answer is obvious—none of them even came close.

It is true that the Jews, God’s chosen people, are still waiting for their Messiah. However, not recognizing their own Messiah is part of God’s plan (Romans 11:25-27) that allows everyone else be saved (Joel 2:32; Romans 10:13). The Bible clearly states that “those who are first will be last” (Matthew 19:30 and 20:16, Mark 10:31, and Luke 13:30). The Jews were the first of God’s people, but they are kept unaware of their own Messiah until everyone on the earth hears about Jesus Christ. This is good news, since everyone gets a chance to accept the Messiah as their Savior and go to heaven. Once that happens, the remaining followers of Judaism will realize that Jesus was the Messiah. At that time, Jesus will return to the earth, bringing those who accept Him as their Savior to heaven. Those who do not accept Him will face God in judgment and be cast into the lake of fire (hell).

There is no question that these many prophecies prove that Jesus is the one and only Messiah. Since you now have proof that Jesus is the promised Messiah who provides a way for us to go to heaven, click on this sentence to find out how to “get right with God” through Jesus.
