As Iraq cools, rebels go to Afghanistan

KABUL: U.S. military successes in Iraq have prompted growing numbers of well-trained "foreign fighters" to join the insurgency in Afghanistan instead, the Afghan defense minister said Tuesday.

We will soon have to come to the realization that this ' war on terrorism' both in Iraq and Afghanistan has turned out to be nothing more than feeding our troops to these foriegn insurgents. The military objective has been achieved in Iraq with the removal of Saddam and establishing that there were no WMDs or Al-Qaeda involvment . As in Afghanistan and Iraq , our troops are comitted now to police the two countries interm governments that we have established there.
