Good luck i guess and with regards to the mangey bear photo, it does look like a bear tbh, looks like how cats stretch not sure if bears stretch in the same fashion, why am i talking about stretching bears.. yeah good luck!

being an avid outdoorsman and living in the highest bear population density in the world (poconos pa.) i have seen many and yes they will stretch and play like a cat. to the op i do believe in bigfoot. i have had some strange experiences and seen footprints i can't explain around here. good luck on your quest just be careful- don't do anything to antagonize a wild animal or you will be sorry. a 2 lb oppossum will *snip* you up what do you think an 800 lb sasquatch will do?

To "Malevolent_Aliens".. Wha??? I wanna hear more on that one. And as far as going into the woods after a wild animal. If you want to get a leg up on it then make sure to use the huntsoap stuff (dont remember any name brands but I know you can get it anywhere that guns are sold).. If they cant smell you then they dont know your there.

Hi there, this is a humorous thread as most sasquatch threads are IMO.

People severely underestimate what bigfoot really is, if your thinking it's just a gigantic ape like creature like something we have in a zoo your in for a special treat. Sasquatch has been able to avoid mankind for thousands of years and will continue to do so because they are smarter than we are. They have been around longer than our species and live on the border line of our world what we would call the 3D line of 3D reality leading to higher dimensions. They can exist on higher levels and most real sightings that have occurred people will witness sasquatch disappearing into thin air which they can do at will. They are far from being animal like creatures and you can't expect to capture or take their picture or get them on film. Thousands of people have tried and tried and tried for years and years and years and failed. WHY?

Because they are like ET's to us, it's like trying to hunt down an extraterrestrial and tranqualizing him or leaving a bowl of fruit out for him as a trap...lol It's a funny thought but that is the reality of sasquatch, nobody has captured them on film but many people have witnessesed them throughout history, you may have a contact experience but do not expect to be in control of it. You will find out that we the humans are the more primitive species and animals in comparison to sasquatch if you ever do encounter one. A sasquatch is really a wookie and they are in continual contact with ET on higher levels outside of this physical 3D reality. They have greater technology than we do and they don't live in the mountains or caves like we believe.

Now like I always tell people, believe what you choose to believe and follow your heart because I'm not on a mission to convince anyone of anything only share my experiences.

I have a contact who lives in Canada who has tracked sasquatch their entire lives as a profession/researcher only to finally learn and realize that sasquatch cannot be tracked but they find you (if your lucky) just like ET. They have many videos on this subject with some real experiences and they become borderline paranormal type encounters when coming within close range of sasquatch but never has he yet been alllowed to capture sasquatch on video only the orbs of light that are present when sasquatch is near. Capturing sasquatch on video doesn't happen. Maybe I will hunt him down and get him to post on here some of the videos and other experiences he has had. If your wondering my information comes strictly from ET experiences that I have had and questions/answers that have been given to me.

I'd love to know what makes you think YOU can catch him when scores of better equiped and trained hunters and investigators have tried and failed to catch a glimpse of him?
I wish you look in your attempt but I can see a long and fruitless search lieing ahead of you. . .

personally i don't believe it is a bear. looks more like a chimp. the other pic does look like a mangy bear but more like a mangy hyena. how could they get here alot of people always ask. someone released them or they escaped. if you want to do some research our local newspaper is pocono record.com back in the mid 60's a truck filled with explosives blew up in front of the pocono snake and wild animal farm and destroyed (along with killing 3 fireman) but they were catching cobras and other tropical snakes until the winter when they died off because they don't hibernate. so it is totally feasible someone had an animal that escaped but just won't admit it. and as for the bears if you have never seen one in the wild you can not believe how quiet and agile they are. watch one climb a tree sometime as long as you aren't sitting in it like i was that day. then you will understand the agility of large animals lol

Lahara. Good luck on your Bigfoot hunt. For some reason I do believe these creatures exist. Perhaps they are creatures that can travel from dimension to dimension.

I'm not sure if bigfoot really exists but I do find it interesting that almost every culture has a myth of an apelike man and their descriptions are all similar. There's also the idea that all myths have some roots in fact.

There is a show called Monsterquest which has renewed my interest in this subject.

Here are some thoughts
IF they exist, there would need to be a stable breeding population which would tell me that to avoid contact they would need to be nomadic and in the deep woods, heavily tree'd.

You wouldn't expect to find a dead body for the same reason you wouldn't find a dead bear. Nature removes the evidence.

My suggestion for a camera would be as follows:
infra red with motion activation preferably with video at 30 frames per second or above. I also recommend the camera be installed on a motorized tracking tripod so the camera lens could actually follow the target.

Since the only evidence has been from eye witness reports, I would recommend collecting those reports with specific locations and putting them in a push pin map so you'll have you best chances based on density of contacts.

You could hang bait piles in front of the camera's approx 6-8 ft off the ground, from a rope to help avoid unwanted animals getting to the bait. If the creature has any relation to early man, it would be an omnivore so fragrant fruits, berries, fish, meat might work as bait.

Of course everything I am posting is pure speculation but I thought I'd give you my 2 cents.

I found your post through a Google search. I used to live down there in the exact area you do. I no longer live there but I can tell you that I think you are on to something.

If you can, I would highly recommend you look around the area of Highway F where a public access fishing parking lot is located. Follow Highway F south of the RR park and keep going past the camping sites. When F takes a turn South, you should see a gravel parking lot on your right. Park there and follow the path down to the river.

I would recommend you check this area out often in the early spring before campers and fishermen begin to get active. Look especially for Footprints in the river banks.

Do not go by yourself! Period! Your safety should be priority number one! I cannot stress this enough. Something happend to me at this exact location and I do think it is BF related. Remember that I told you so and take along a buddy. If you can carry a firearm that would be even better (a very nice large caliber firearm would be best).

Check it out and I really hope you get lucky. I am being totally serious and just check it out for yourself. If you don't find anything well at least I tried to help you out. You never know, I do hope you find something. If I still lived down there I would be checking this area continuously in the early spring.
