Has anyone gotten this DVD in the mail?

It's called Obsession, Radical Islam's War Against the West.

It was sent to me, and I didn't ask for it. Is this like some kind of propaganda attempt? The web site seems to sound like it has good intentions, but you don't know in this age of corrupt media. I read something about positive media coverage, so that doesn't help much in how to view the organization.

Is it another video just to incite fear?

Who are these guys, who backs them, and do they have an honest agenda?

Yes we got one for each memebr of the household to the same address. I watched it. Just another video to me. It did not really tell me anything new I did not already know. It does not really attack Islam in generasl, focuses exclusivley on Fanatacism and extremism.

I get the feeling though they want to imply something else.

I got one too. someone must have spent some $$ printing those things if EVERY member of a household got one. sheesh. I didnt watch it though because I'm sure it's all about pro,oting some agenda

I haven't heard of this dvd or recieved one.

What is it exactly? How did they get your address?

It's addressed exactly to me, middle name and all.

I don't know, I bet there was some big funding behind this. Who could their funders be?

Trying to get us to keep backing a war perhaps?

I live in east North Carolina and yes, i got it. Haven't opened it because it was immediately lost upon entering the clutter-flied "Raxus Prime" like living room of mine.

I just got this thing the other day, maybe they are getting to the people they didn't get to in the first round.

I wish people would just take war somewhere else. Go to the moon or something and let us civilized folk live life.

Oh no, terrorists are everywhere folks. Look in your back yard, it's a terrorist strapping a bomb to your lawn chair. What's this, it's a terrorist in your cupboard. Better call the exterminator. There's another one under the bed.

If the media had it their way, we would all be locked in our houses trembling in fear. The media + some of our leaders; we might as well throw those guys in the mix as terrorists themselves. Always promoting fear.

I didn't get one; although, if I had, it would have been trashed w/o even looking at it....much like the 10,591 copies of AOL I have received over the years LOL. I guess you would have to be a registered republican to have received that propaganda.

Well, this family has been traditionally Democratic.

Me, I'm neither. Political party doesn't mean a whole lot to me.

I just want to vote for people who are actually going to care and do something good for their country.

Anyway, this is just an aside.

I don't know that I will be watching this video.

Did you or anyone in your family sign up at a McCain rally or a republican rally, donate money to his campaign or something loosely related? These are the folks who are receiving the propaganda. Sorry, I was not trying to imply that you have a particular political affiliation....just that you wouldn't see such rubbish coming from Obama/democrats. They DO NOT USE SCARE TACTICS....that is solely a REPUBLICAN TRAIT.

The question is, what do those of you who did receive it have in common?

Members of the same party? Registered with a particular organization? Signed up for certain mailings? Even customers of the same institutions?

If they have your middle name it is most likely a list of some official nature that has been harvested, in which case you might want to look into what you have given your consent to.

Invasion of privacy is common, especially with groups of the agenda that this DVD puts forth.
