Don't rely on one person to tell you what's going to happen - get your info from what Mankind is saying collectively, and you'll get a pretty clear picture of things to come.

The evidence proves otherwise.

Sollog is far more accurate than the human collective consciousness can ever hope to be. Nuke terrorism will soon become a reality. Great Acts of God will kill many in the U.S. If you want to survive these difficult times ahead then Sollog is the person you should be listening to.

Put your faith in a computer program and you will not survive.

Then you should learn about how the bible predicted the great future empires in the book of Daniel, a long before they came to power. The Romans, The Persians among a few.

There are literally hundreds of predictions that the Bible has made that has already come to pass.

One of the biggest is when Israel became a nation after close to or almost 1700 years or something like that. This became a reality in 1967. Why is that significant? It is significant because the next stage of bible prophecy, revelations deal with the end times that take place soon after Israel becomes a nation again.

The end is right at the door. Just look at the headlines and the news. The New World Order is about to come into being and the Anti-Christ is itching to ascend it.

What kind of inane claptrap are you spewing?

Can you produce any Physical Proof of the exact dates that any of the so called prophecies were made on?

Dont give me the "Book" as proof ! I know what the words say. Do you have proof of actual dates?

"One of the biggest is when Israel became a nation after close to or almost 1700 years or something like

that. This became a reality in 1967."

And just how did Israel becom a nation ?.........

It Was all Manipulated to become a reality through the utilization of Politics. ('The binding secular religion')
Caused by the Addiction to Religous dogma. A disease that drives its Bootlicking Parasites,Minions and

Henchmen into Carnage,Butchery and Bloodshed.

Of course...."You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't use reason to get into."

There are so many religions on this planet.
Many are thousands of years older than Christianity.

All to spread the word.....to teach the masses.

The Christan belief system is in reality a very young one.
Many religious belief systems were well established long
before Jesus made his appearence.
The majority of religious beliefs, before Christanity had
many Gods and many saviors visiting the planet;.

Some in the form of offspring ,some as mighty prophets,
some as a manifiestation of the God, a lesser Deiety.
They took the forms of animal, half human,Earth changes,
climate changes,human form,the sun, moon, stars,comets...etc.

Most include Demonic entities that made appearances
in some of the same affor mentioned forms. Many took
posession of what ever was available to enter into.

Each and every Religious belief system with or without written
docterines, demands prayer(of some type), sacrifices(ost) total
dedication (every second of every day) pleasing a Supreme
Being. Making sure the God or Gods are appeased at all times.

Most are very colorful romantic anthologys with lots of love and devotion, to the god(s)
In the same breath most are filled with cunning, trickery, lust, greed and power struggles
that lead to wars and multitudes of humans, being out and out slaughtered.

All in the name of a 'god(s)'

Back on topic.

I see it a whole different way. That 2012 is a turning point much in the same that 2008 is a turning point. We are looking at two canidates that do not exactly inspire many in any true direction. One sms to represent the same ol thing while the other is more talk than substance.

This at a time of market being as volatile and unstable as I have ever noticed. We as a collective could change our direction on oil consumption making it a devalud commodity. Without the gold standard oil became the defacto tangible value. But as this year and the oil embago of the 70's prove, oil is not a good item to base a currency value upon.

The policies of the US abroad leave much doubt and lack of confidence in other nations as to what our intentions are exactly. Old and new oppositions are reforming themselves into the role of "enemy" in public perception with the help of propaganda and fear baiting from both the government and the media.

The current president causes stress by just making a public appearance because so many of the people have tired of him over the past two terms. Meanwhile Congress, who is more despised than Bush, made a landmark bill than many people were so against that they were actually very vocal about it. The reaction seems to be a general okay, but if this fails you have all had it. Still three weeks away, but as many as 1/3 of the Congress could be voted out especially is the market hits the basement and hires a steamshovel in order to keep digging lower.

The events of this month will have repercussion on the economy and jobs, which effects spending habits. In two years we could hit a point of real despiration and break into small revolts or outright rebellion.

If this comes to pass, whether failure or a success late 2011 into 2012 could mark some dark times because we will subjects of a stressed out governmnt ready to crackdown on the next outburst or suffering the growing pains of a new and rudderless replacement government.

With all that in mind, I say 2012 would be a turning point. Or in the meantime I could be genuninely surprised and real, true leader with the interests of the people will rise up and have a frank and grownup talk and together we change enough to enter a time of great emotional an material prosperity. In either case, I would chalk up the Mayan Calender's ending as an odd coincidence. I respect that as far as time keeping and tracking passage of time it is superior to our own Gregorian, but as tool of divination...better off investigating the human sacrifices on the old altars.

There's probably some psychological explanation for this. It is my opinion that when things get bad in the world, suffering: disease, murder, war, that we want some way to start over.

Sometimes I think that these desires to begin anew are manifested in predictions that often fortell of doom and destruction, but always with the message that we can change our future. And, during the last few decades, the message has shifted more from destruction to the saving of the human race by beings more advanced than us.

Either way, I think it is a compelling desire to want to somehow bring about major change, whether we have to destroy what is here and rebuild or hope that someone else can do it for us.

Who really knows what the Mayans meant with their calendar. They could have just run out of rock!

As I grow older, I place less importance on these types of things. Most (if not always) of the time, the predictions are wrong...very wrong or just plain hoaxes.

It is so easy to hide behind a prediction and scream that the end is near or that someone else will save us. It is an entirely different matter to start living your life in a way that models the world that you desire. And you don't need to buy a book about Secret's either. There's probably some truth to creating your own reality, but what is really required is a desire from mankind to start treating each other with respect, dignity and that each life has value and purpose. Until that happens, we will be destined to repeat our past mistakes and partake in our future failures as a race.

Then before you start descrediting the predictions in the bible, maybe you should actually do some research into how accurate the bible has been in its predictions?

100%

Maybe that'll open your eyes a bit?

Been there done that. Read it cover to cover. Eight years of private religious school.
Hey, if the bible proves to be right, I'll be happy to admit I was wrong.

Just wait a couple of months. I think you will be very surprised at how things are right now coming to perfect alignment with the one government the anti-christ is to rule. It isn't long now .... the events described in revelations are right at the door. Jesus knocks, will you let Him in before its too late?

There's a distinct difference between prophesy that has yet to come to fruition, and that which has already taken place. Stating the Bible is 100% accurate, but that someone like Blossom Goodchild is a farce, is like comparing apples to oranges.

Blossom gave an exact date and told what she believed was going to take place. Yes, she wound up being wrong, but that's not my point. My point is that she was specific.

The Bible on the other hand is vague in terms of dates, and more importantly in this particular case, it was written around 2000 years ago. It's easy to take what is in scripture and compare it to events that have taken place over 2000 years. Using the translation of your choice, you can figure out what a certain prophesy predicted, compare it to all those years of history, and WOW you've got fulfilled prophesy! How convenient!

So while the Bible may appear, in hindsight, to be 100% accurate, I think it's important to remember that it's not giving exact dates. Without those, you can simply wait for something to happen and say the Bible predicted it.

One other thing that has occurred to me regarding the Bible is that many of the events going on in recent history and present day could be taking place to intentionally resemble Biblical prophesy. Heck, one could even argue that one sect of Christianity (I cannot remember the name at the moment) is doing everything it can to actually make prophesy reality as a means to push forward the timeline for Christ's return. Self-fulfilling prophesy...definitely something my gut tells me is a strong possibility.

After my somewhat flippant post on page 4 of this thread (sorry, humor gives balance to your life and is highly recommended to those who might take themselves and things on this site a little too seriously) I thought back to a previous event that I lived through; 1984.

1984 and 2012 are election years and times when the opportunity for drastic changes take place in this country, and by osmosis, the rest of the world.

1984 saw Ronald Reagan re-elected in a landslide and provided him with the chance through his popularity (not me) and power to take on the USSR in the waning days of the Cold War. There were times when we had, given a few different responses from the Soviets, a 50-50 chance of nuclear annihilation.

Certain events can take place that are so subtle that they are unrecognizable at the time. Nuclear war didn't happen, but look around today. As in the book, Big Brother is everywhere.

2012 may also be a re-election year for a popular, and eventually powerful President to "shake things up".

I realized at the time, after doing a little math, that I had the opportunity to be alive for both events. Now I wonder if I'll be taking Soma and shuffling off to work as a mindless drone in my drab, gray jumpsuit in my waning years.

Don't look for anything earth shattering to happen in 2012. Something may be put into motion, or continue to be developed from a previous plan, that won't be obvious for years after the fact, after its too late to do anything to stop it.

Why on Earth are you assuming anything about my relationship to Jesus simply because I asked you to make a thread on that?

Why on Earth are you assuming I am not very familiar with the Bible?

Stop making assumptions. Stop pointing your Biblical doomsday finger at me.

It isn't my job to be your personal saviour, just to deliver the message.

Exactly! So go make that thread and deliver that message already. I swear I will read your thread.

Again, please prove to us on ATS, this community your registered with, that the Bible has had a 100% success rate with future predictions.

Actually for someone who labels themselves as a "radical thinker" you aren't doing very much thinking out of the box on this topic.

The poster you are criticizing is correct and it can be proven up to a certain time period if you believe what the Bible has to say.

In the Old Testament, prophets made many predictions, thousands of years before events in the new testament happened. But they were all fulfilled, as told in later New Testament books.

More current prophecies have come true also.

Isaiah 11:11, Jeremiah 30:3, Joel 3:1-2 and Amos 9:11 all predicted the restoration of Israel in one day. That came true May 15, 1948.

Luke 21:24 predicted that Jerusalem would return to Jewish control, which happened in 1967 during the six-day war.

I would encourage you to read the Bible more and judge for yourself whether the Bible is an accurate source of information. For those of us who know it is a divinely inspired book, we know it is and we trust it.
