Capitalism - Creation of resources that are redistributed to the most productive members of society

Socialism - Confiscation of resources that are redistributed to the least productive members of society

His comment sounds all well and good until it's YOUR wealth he wants to spread around, right?

How can this not be anything but socialism?

Absolutely socialist. Take from the productive. Give to the unproductive.
And yes - BIDEN said it was patriotic to TAKE the $$ from those who make it.

Wealth redistribution = marxism.

Absolutely no question. Obama = socialism.

And according to today's Washington Post: www.washingtonpost.com... "U.S. Forces Nine Major Banks To Accept Partial Nationalization"

Do I infer that in the Kingdom of Dubya, the banks are to be socialised too? How about this creeping communism, where winning is privatised, but losing is socialised?

Tough to keep it all straight, eh bunkie?

YEP! History will show that in the last 3 months of Bush43's time in office, he ushered in a bed of socialism for Obama to start from.

Bush43 opened the door for Obama to run through.

Last week, some bildeberger pushed a button and said it was time.
The whole 1st world economic system changed over.
The stage is set for Obamonomics. (god help us all)

LOL, "sos37", you beat me to it. I spent all of this time searching to see if it was already posted, and YOU reacted first. Anyways, that is a Star and a Flag for you

This sure is further proof of the Socialist ideologies which Senator Obama harbors, yet which many of his supporters find to be such an "absurd" partisan based "attack". Socialist he is.

only one problem...when productivity goes up as a percentage of GDP, the pay of the workers that produce that very thing, does not go up accordingly, the vast percentage goes to the very top... now that is marxist

With the way the economy is going, many of us will probably need Obama's hand-outs once more of us lose jobs and homes and all that.

Perhaps the economic situation will help the Democrats this time around.

Oh no ! You mean he might take a step towards fighting inequality and poverty ?
Tremble America !
Everything you stand for (poor people getting poorer so the rich can get richer) is about to crumble !
On a more realistic note, both candidates are paid by the same guys. Unless your economy goes to hell (not excuding that scenario :-)), america will drone on with all the wealth in the hands of 2 % of the population, just like it always has. Nothing to much to worry about.
Obama is a puppet, and he will do the bid of the wealthy and powerful people in the know, just as Mc Cain would. Have no fear he realizes he'll get shot if he doesn't

Anyone notice the CAMO HAT??!?! HAHAHAHHAHAHA!

Wealth redistribution.....from the top 1%.....to the rest of us......and where is the problem??
I work 40+ EVERY WEEK. I pay more taxes than most of the CEO's you defend.

Why do these people CONTINUALLY VOTE AGAINST THEIR OWN ECONOMIC INTEREST? Because they are scared of words they don't understand. They equate socialist ideas with wearing uniforms and standing in lines for everything, instead of the reality of these programs being available to THEM IN PARTICULAR.

Ask any of the camo hats what the definition of Democrat is.....and they think commie. That is because they have been taught that by people who use their religious beliefs and ignorance as a political tool against them. I don't think they're dumb. I think they have been fooled.

Inequality? hahahah quite the leftist talking point you touched on there.

Who is unequal? Everyone has the opportunity and chance to succeed.

If someone feels they are unequal, it is their fault and theirs alone.

It isnt the governments job to "fix poverty".

Just out of curiosity, you wouldn't happen to be a CEO, would you ?

I own my own business, but I am nowhere near a CEO of a large corporation, nor do I earn what they do.

So you consider yourself to be less smart than, say, George W. who despite ruining every single buisiness he got his hands on (positions he got into thanks to daddy's family ties) is now your countries president ?

Forcing people to work just to take their hard earned money away to give to others who won't work is NOT EQUALITY. It's government sponsored slavery.

If your looking for a freebie or handout then you agree with spreading the wealth.

If you believe in fairness, then you don't agree with spreading the wealth.

Obama may very well lower taxes for people earning under 250,000. I dispute the 95% bs. His campaign is trying to say cause government takes taxes out of your paycheck this is the reason he can use the 95% BS. People will pay more taxes in form of state and local taxes. With Obama giving tax cut to 95%(lol) and with his huge spending initiative, there will not be enough money to send to the states. The fed will continue to mandate but will not fund the mandates. This puts pressure on state and local to increase taxes to pay for their programs plus any new mandates from the fed. As it is now, many states are already in the red. So buckle up folks, your taxes are surely going up. Like Obama said spread the wealth.

Do you know for sure that wealth will come from the top 1%? Obama was addressing the plumber in this video - he's not in the 1%. The plumber said "Your tax policies are going to ruin my business". Obama responded with "I like to spread the wealth around".

Meaning the wealth coming from the middle class on downward. It really doesn't get more clear than that.

Nice bit of stereotyping going on there.

I think it's a bit strong to just call Obama an outright socialist. If you look at the economic views of the democrats (and Obama in particular), they are only very slightly to the left of the republicans, and still fall firmly in the right wing economics camp. If you want to see a true left winger, try someone like Nader, if Obamas very slight concessions to the left get you this angry, you will positively explode when you see someone like Nader, or even someone like Kucinichs policies!
