Hey guys... I just wanted to respond to Homer's view presented in the end rant of this podcast.

I like Obama for many of his policies. His policies aren't socialism. I think people need to be taxed more and I think we should reduce the deficit. I also think that more programs should be supported that get people jobs and I like Obama's plan for national healthcare and I like his stance on education.

There are several other reasons why I support him too. I think that the main fault of the crash of the economy were the fat cat beaurocrats that bought out congress. I think that they are the sole cause of this crash and now that the people that caused the crash are gone or hurt so they won't be able to do as much damage.

There are several reasons why I disagree with John McCain's stance on the war. First, Iraq isn't the central front of the War on Terror, Afhganistan and Packistan are. Second, Obama recognizes this, John McCain would support surges which would basically put more people in harms ways... and I think we should be getting out of Iraq. The war in Iraq is not a war we can win by just fighting. You have to understand the region of Iraq to understand what's happening there and why people are being violent.

Overall, I think Obama is more educated than John McCain and he is more knowledgeable on the issues. I can't believe that John McCain supports the banning of abortion rights and gay marriage for the people that want to. Those rights aren't necessarily harmful to anyone else. And, if you're a women, you would probably know what it's like to have a baby inside your stomach, that you didn't mean to have... it's really a moral issue that the government should stay out of in my opinion.

I also don't like John McCain because I think he's a loose cannon. In the economic crisis rather than proposing positive solutions which Obama was doing he was making negative attack campaigns. Obama made negative attack campaigns too, but, John McCain tried to tie Obama to terrorists. It just isn't right.

That is why I mainly support Barack Obama. As a Democrat in the United States I will be voting for him, and, I don't really care about this Bradley effect.

He plans to give tax breaks to 95% of the rest of the population.

Read his proposal and the tax code.. His proposal will impact almost 80% of all middle class families and wage earners.

And Republicans have a lot of defense contracts too, so, your point is moot.

Not so moot when you consider that the Defense Industry, which you concede is run by Reps.. Is perhaps the most stable of all industries at present.. The ones in the tank are the ones that were in oversight by the Dems. Not Moot At All

Facts are facts and not subject to debate. Several hearings were held by Republicans and the Democrats shouted them all down.

Maybe you weren't listening to what he said during the 3 debates when he sounded very passionate about issues that matter to most Americans.

Obama was only 6 years old at the time Bill Ayers did his things.

Obama was more than 6 when he attended the fund raiser in Ayers living room and Ayers, but his own admission, is proud of what he did and only says he did not do enough.

Ayers is still a terrorist and Obama is associated with him. Those are facts my friend.

This Country is arguably the most powerful country that has ever existed. Why?
