Two things... maybe three. Barack Obama wants to "spread the wealth around" and just as Biden put it "take money" from those who work very hard and use their talents and ideas to prosper, and give that money to other people who don't have it. Secondly, Palosi and Reed are in Washington right now planning a tax increase on everyone even as we speak, making Obama's pledge not to raise taxes on Americans earning less that 250K per year worthless. This should be a wake up call to America. I don't know about you, but I don't want Obama to take my money away from me and give it to anyone else. I earned it. Lastly and most importantly, socialism, communism, whatever you call it does not work. Under socialism there is no incentive to succeed, to improve one's standard of living because the government will give you one. May I suggest that before you pull the lever, or push the button, or scan the card for president, that you ask yourself how much of what you have left do you want them to take away from you. I think the answer is simple, don't vote for the socialist, vote for the tax cutter overall.

Yes, you did earn it... Did you earn over $250,000 last year? If not, you are quite safe under the Obama tax plan.

Ahhh... on that point we agree to a degree. Ever use the public library? Socialist! Ever use Fire or Police services? Socialist! Ever attend a public school? Socialist! Socialism is a bad thing there, but Regulations and Congressional Oversight are a good thing in the Market, as they tend to keep blind greed in check!

May I suggest that before you pull the lever, or push the button, or scan the card for president, that you ask yourself how much of what you have left do you want them to take away from you. I think the answer is simple, don't vote for the socialist, vote for the tax cutter overall.

I suggest that you look towards your local Senators and Congressmen for that answer. How many of them voted for the bailout? That is what really going to hit you hard in the end. McCain and Obama both voted for this travesty, no choice there. But you do have a choice with your local representatives... Think about it.

Are you living under a rock? Just yesterday Obama said he wanted to spread the wealth around to a plumber and it's on tape. And Biden said it was patriotic to pay more taxes. Seriously wake up. I don't want to hear any piss ant whining from Obama voters when their middle class taxes are jacked up.

I however can raise holy hell because I am against my taxes going up to and I'm not voting for Obama. I may vote McCain or Barr or write-in I haven't decided.

I have 4 vehicles. 2 for business, and 2 for personal use.

Chances are great that I pay more in taxes on gasoline (which are used to build roads) than you do.

Hereby showing you have absolutely no clue what you are talking about. Actually, the middle class in this country pay the lion's share of the tax burden. Think about it, kind of makes sense, considering they are the largest demographic and are the engine this economy runs on.

Wow... what nation are you speaking about. Actually, the tax laws are written in favor of the wealthy. If you make enough money to itemize and save all those receipts, you are allowed to deduct a huge portion of your income. Add to that the fact that the wealthy can actually afford a good CPA to help them with their taxes and find every allowable loophole, and the truly wealthy pay minimal taxes.


Socialism has no place in this nation, regardless of who is proposing it.

The atrocity known as public education is both unconstitutional and a giant money vacuum.


While I agree that the state of our public education system is seriously atrocious at this point, it was not always in the shape it is currently. It is obvious you have no children. Trust me when I tell you, if you did, you would quickly change your mind on this point.
I've said it before, and I will say it again, the constitution specifically provides for the "general welfare". Their job is to keep us safe, provide services such as police, fire, ambulance, trash service, AND education. I love debating you, and I don't mean anything I say here to you as an insult. We disagree on many things, and that is a good thing in this country. America was founded on the principle of compromise.
Here is something very unconstitutional:
The way this country has used the Military to spread its policies around the world is the most unconstitutional thing I can think of. If you will read that precious document, you will find that the Military is specifically to be used for defense purposes only. I know I'm going to get flamed for "not supporting the troops". That is not the case. The best way to support the troops is to use them only when attacked. In this world, we no longer need bases all around the world to protect our "interests". The military-industrial complex (yes, they really do exist) does not want you to know this because, well, it would cut into their profits and take a large measure of their power away. I proudly served my country, and would gladly lay my life on the line if there were an external threat. I would gladly follow Bin Laden to the gates of Hell, if necessary. However, this administration has not bothered to do so. The best way to support the troops is to bring them home to their families and give them the maximum benefits that we as a society can afford. It's not rocket science, just plain common sense.

Oh, and by the way, McCain was once a "Maverick" when he used to defend privacy rights and campaign finance reform. However, he had to give that title up once he started courting the lobbyists, "agents of intolerance" (his words not mine), and the right wingnut NeoCONS who have bankrupted this country.
