Democrats call for massive U.S. economic stimulus plan

www.reuters.com

The United States needs a new economic stimulus plan that pumps billions of dollars into infrastructure projects and budget relief for cash-strapped state and local governments, Democratic lawmakers said on Sunday.

U.S. Rep. Barney Frank, chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, told ABC television he will put together an economic stimulus bill when Congress returns to Washington after the November 4 elections, while a key Republican said he would support an effort that "makes sense."

Yep, this idea will certainly free up the credit markets.

Good God, is there anyone with a lick of sense running this country? Forget common sense, and just throwing money at the problem seems to be the flavor of the week! This is just more typically nonsensical rhetoric from a dis functional political system. Completely out of touch with how to solve a problem.

Yep, more "spend money we don't have" genius from the geniuses in power.

The last "stimulus plan" worked so well too.

The problem is, these people just keep devaluing the dollar into never-never land by continually SPENDING more, and this is just more accelerant on the bonfire.

How about stopping the idiotic foreign policy and corporate criminality croneyism first, which are both GUTTING what little is left of this nation's financial infrastucture?

Nah, it would be easier just to run up the deficit a few trillion more and keep throwing the ever-dwindling worthless dollar at the burning inferno. After all, it's the tax-serf sheeples who will be footing the bill when the oblivion has plummeted into the totality of its bottomless abyss, right?

I have an idea. Why don't we all stimulate our feet up their collective rectal appendages.

The latest blurb is that now Congress is having second thoughts about the bailout and it's effectiveness, and wants to overhaul it. Duh!!! Should have thought out the follies before instituting it as law. But us dumb 96% don't know what we are talking about. Do we?

We are collectively more intelligent then all of the 4% put together, if only we coordinated and stuck together for the long haul.

Great idea, lets spend more money to get us out of a problem that was created by spending money. We need term limits for politicians holding any office. They would be so busy cleaning up the last persons mess that nothing would ever get done and that seems like it would be a good idea.

The more they pump these stupid amounts of money into the system , making/printing out of thin air. dont they devalue theamount of currency already out their?

Remember zimababwe 1 million dollar notes.

i no its not that extreme but the more imaginary money they pump into this system the more the people get shafted. They really seem to be pushing for total collapse. throwing more fule on the fire.

At least this plan would help individual families by creating more jobs. Let's see..... the major banks Get 700 Billion, at least 25 billion for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, sure to be more and the regular working American gets 150 Billion. Doesn't seem like much compared to all the money the Govt has been throwing at the Banks.
