So if it does not happen, it will make people worse not better. Think about it.

Eit: ah yes like Hamlin said, it's gonna create a LOT of negative feelings if it doesn't happen. Not good. I wish it happened, I wish a lot of things...........

Personally, I have heard about Oct 14th for only about a month or 2 online. I have heard it being talked about among people I know personally, for about a year.

Energy is the key to all of this. Our energy, drawn from the aether, if collectively focused on a goal or specific intent, perhaps could manifest it. How likely is it that we don't understand, in a conscious way, our intent? Perhaps the intent of an ascended existence is something we all share subconsciously.

no matter what happens in 2 days time.. the exposure this has gotten has reached out to a large number of people and made them consider things they did not previously consider. This may be a true boost in the number awakening people around the world. So much going on right now.. so many people becoming more aware. I do feel a very strong energy in the world right now.. much stronger than I have felt before and I think it well may be the energy of many people awakening. something is happening around us.. what it is.. I don't know. People seem to be waking up.
I don't think there is anything the governments or world religions can do to stop it any longer either.

I don't understand many of the comments made in this thread.

'Awareness of life outside this earth' ?

Stonehenge ? Mayan temples ? Native American beliefs ? etc.

I tend to the belief that it's not 'consciousness' that's rising --- it's self consciousness. Self absorption. Self centredness.

But it's 'all too hard' now, apparently. Despite insulated, luxurious dwellings connected to power, water, internet. Despite air-conditioned vehicles. Despite hospital and medical. Despite having the vote. Despite living longer, more comfortable, safer lives. Despite free education. Despite supermarkets and plastic-wrapped protein sources. Despite not having to go out and kill and fish and chop wood and give birth in dirt-floor shacks, etc.

Yet THIS generation .. of all the downtrodden, harshly worked, ill-treated generations that preceded us .. THIS generation of soft, lazy-by-comparison, privileged, cossetted, over-educated, over-entertained, leisure-saturated people have the HIDE to expect an intergalactic cavalry to detour to this planet/dimension to SAVE them !

And that's being posited as a 'belief ' .. an 'awareness' .. a 'rising spirituality ' ?

No. It's a spiritually bankrupt belief system.

I for one hope 'they' don't show as it would be simply another point of contention between human beings, dividing those who believe them to be helpful and those who believe them to be harmful. I find it unlikely we would all agree or that their intentions would be absolutely clear.

Not only that, but, frankly, we need to do for ourselves, assuming the intentions are positive as has been stated. No amount of intervention will make us more peaceful on a meaningful level, which is by choice.

My hope is that more people will realize this regardless of the outcome. Not to disparage anyone's beliefs other than the belief that peace comes from anywhere other than our own hearts and minds.

There will be no spaceship in the sky on Oct. 14.

And yet, here is another thread on it - adding to the 41 000 hits I get when I google the predicted-by-channeling event.

I have compiled a list of as many promoters of the Oct 14 event that I could find on this site. People who have made threads about it happening and those who have lambasted the "unbelievers" will all be on the list.

The List will be published on Oct 16, along with your respective excuses that you will have no doubt made on Oct. 14/15 as to why it didn't happen, or that it did but no one saw it.

*Please don't say the pentagon over the arctic is the "light ship" or that the anomaly over the pacific is the GFL - people who do this will also be added to the list which I will make available on Oct. 16.

Yes pazcat, the backpedaling has already begun. I think people should take a look at MrPenny's post in my thread about something called "Cognitive Dissonance". I think you will find it extremely interesting as it already appears to apply to what's going on here.

Rebuttal In Defiance Of The GFL

All I see is the hoax of the decade being perpetrated and there is nothing good that can come from this no matter what spin you try and put on it. Specially when people refuse to see the truth for what it is and learn/grow from it so the mistake isn't made again.

Indeed, NephraTari, whether the 10-14-08 is a hoax or a real deal - whet really matters is the amount of attention that is brought on this subject.

Believers and non-believers are involved in a debate, more and more people come forward with their UFO experiences, more and more people are waking up.

Even if we don't see any GFL starships on 10-14-08, this wave of energy that is brought upon this subject, will not go in vain.

The problem I see is that it is possible that it will not go in vain but it will go against it in some cases.

To some people it may look as a failure of the whole "positive energy" and may make them think that whatever it was that they were doing they were doing it the wrong way or it does not matter if they do it at all, because nothing happened.

A disillusioned person is bad, specially in something where nobody really has any certainties, one of the disillusioned people could be someone that would be important to the whole UFO situation in the future, but that future will never happen because of this "failure".

I don't know if my explanation was a failure, I hope at least some people understand what I meant to say.
