Cancer hospitals, universities - even cats - put their faith and cash in Iceland

Hospitals and universities yesterday became the latest victims of the collapsed Icelandic banks as the huge scale of taxpayers’ investments began to emerge.

At least ten universities have together invested tens of millions of pounds, and the Christie Hospital, the specialist cancer hospital in Manchester, was one of two foundation trusts that have admitted making deposits of £2 million, The Times has learnt.

Just who is going to bail out all these institutions with the failing banks, will it be the taxpayer yet again. Many have invested in what was sound financial organisations only to find that they have suddenly gone bust so it was not bad investing it was just a lack of forseeing the future.

Why is it that the money men in each of these businesses not see the signs and get their money out before it ws too late. People have been talking about a slump for well over a year now so whats going on. If the ordinary man in the street can see this comming and get his money out of the bank before it disapears why couldn't these people, why have they left it till it all falls apart?

Either way, theres still one fundamental question that nobody has yet given a satisfactory answer to...

Where has the money actually gone?
It was there, and now it isn't.
Someone must have it, why? They've practically stolen it, not only from a lot of good causes, but a lot of taxing organisations. My county apparently had several million deposited, and now they're telling us that council tax bills will have to rise every year for two decades to cover the loss.
So whoever has the money has stolen it off every single person in Lancashire.

Don't know about anyone else, but I wouldn't mind knowing who has it and when they plan on returning it, otherwise we might just have to get our pitchforks out the shed..

here is a thought, and i know it is mad, why not, why not actually buy treatments and equipment with the money?

Or to be controversial, get the cleaners in?

what good is cash being invested?

Yes thats the qustion, if thre money was there yesterday so to speak why is it not there today. Where has it gone and who has got it. If that was our own bank accounts we would be screaming at the bank managers where has our money gone would we not. Yet These banks just sate we have no money so its tough and thats the end of it. Should the bankers everywher be arrested for fraud and theft?

People will get there money from Iceland.
You will see. They will get some more digits on a computer in time.
Its just causing some chaos to bring order the Rothschild's and Rockefeller's holding some gold until the minions can look like hero's and take more of the world on there behalf.
Its not there money they have lost anyway why is that hard for anyone to understand?
