I am in the same boat OP,
You also need to check your state laws on a second job....In Connecticut, the state can take all of your second jobs income also, so even if I got a
second job it would be no help for me.(people will tell you just don't report it,but keep in mind that if you do not and the courts find out, you
will be charged with frauding the state and that is a federal offence and anything you made will be added on to your back support)
My Judge's exact words were, "I dont care if you live under a bridge as long as you pay your support"(catch 22 is if I don't have a place to live
I'm arrested as a vagrant)
If you are ordered to pay support you are in a no win senerio,
You also need to find out if they take the taxes out before or after they take out support.... Myself they take out the support then they take out
taxes, when tax time came I found out that I was not properly taxed on my gross(which includes support) so I ended up owing more.
