Sir, if you cant figure out that the right is using his middle name for a reason, then you are either blind or lying. You dont hear anyone calling John McCain by his middle name. You never heard bush jr. use kerry's middle name.

Why? Cause lets face it, its hussein. And there are people out there that will associate a name Obama never chose to a terrorist dictator who is now, thankfully off this earth.

This whole thread is about how McCain is now saying Obama is a decent person and how we shouldnt be scared if hes president.

If McCain thinks this honestly, THEN WHY DOES HE RUN ADS CLAIMING HE HAS TIES WITH TERRORISTS?!?!?!?!?

Why? I'll tell you, he ruffles the feathers and stirs the pot with ads, then when he is in person, he chooses the high road. Of course he does, hes on camera. If McCain really wants to believe his own ad, he'd never say that Obama was a decent person. I wouldnt think anyone was decent if they really had the ties with terrorism that the McCain camp is insinuating.

You can call me crazy.....prior to this i was leaning for McCain but was thinking about not voting at all. He just took my vote.

Why, cause he lets his ads and spokesmen say one thing to incite the crowds... So that McCain can come out on his high horse and look like the honest politician trying to calm the crowds down? He is responsible for his ads and his spokesmen.

come on bunch, do you hold musicians responsible for controlling their crowds?

But if a band get on stage and says " lets call the cops pigs" and then they start to do so, who's responsible then?

And not everyone wants to hear about economy. Just talking about economy isn't going to fix it. If anything it brings up more anxiety because of all the gloomy words they use. If 700Billion dollars can't fix it I doubt them talking about it day after day will do anything either.

I disagree in the sense that all polls overwhelmingly indicate that the economy is by far the number one issue, nothing else. Evreyone knows that this election is going to be decided in the economy and with the ongoing crisis it just kills me that the McCain campaign want to talk about Ayers... who cares? Certainly not independent and undecided.

Uneducated people....do they not also have the right to express what they feel? We may not agree with what they say but they also have freedom of speech. But you are also right that maybe McCain should be more selective.

Of course I agree but unfortunately perception is everything in politics, and you have a guy here and there been recorded in a McCain rally saying that Obama should be killed, that he is a traitor, and that he is N and the perception is going to be that McCain rallies has become basically KKK meetings, I'm not saying that it is but the PERCEPTION is there.

Platt is a county chairman he is not a party spokesman for McCain.

Personally I think McCain should hit Obama with everything he can and should pull no punches, this election isn't about McCain or Obama anymore it is about wether you want to live in a Constitutional Republic as damaged as it may be or wether you want to live in a Centralized Socialist State.

MSM have threatened America with riots Obama if not elected, Obama tells his supporters to get in the faces of republicans and independents if they are supporting McCain. We have truth squads and secret service visits to peoples homes if they are rude to the door to door ACORN/ Obama supporters. Pressure on Union employees (at least were my wife works is horribly intense). Damage to vehicles with McCain/Palin stickers on them has become commonplace in recent weeks.

I am very ******* tired of being called racist, redneck, hick, cracker and white trash because I dont support Obama. I will vote for who I want to without being intimidated. I will never accept this man as my President, Hillary or any other moderate Democrat I would have.

cause he does have ties with a terrorist and it bears on Obama judgment and if you don't understand this then you are either blind or lying.

And as far as his middle name, it falls under freedom of speech. Just because this person or that person doesn't use it has no bearing on the fact that anybody can use it.
You may not like it or feel that their is a mean reason for them doing it but just the same they have every right to use it.

You throw our socialist state like its fact. You are either lying or are distorting the facts. Whers your proof? Hes not nationalizing helathcare.. Hes not forcing you to give al lyour money to the gov for the good of the country. He's not revoking any of the bill of rights.

But you throw out right wing rhetoric like a socialist state cause it scares people.

hows this....

A plan to spend gov money to buy bad home mortgages.

proposal to buy up bad home mortgages would use nearly half the $700 billion from the recent Wall Street bailout package to assist Americans directly, instead of indirectly by rescuing the nation's financial markets.

"I would order the secretary of the Treasury to immediately buy up the bad home-loan mortgages in America and renegotiate at the new value of those homes — at the diminished values of those homes — and let people be able to make those payments and stay in their homes," he said. The proposal, which he called the American Homeownership Resurgence Plan, is as much a policy plan for the future as it is a political tactic for the present. The economy has been a key factor in helping Obama pull ahead of McCain nationally and in key battleground states. What's more, Americans reacted with helpless outrage at the need for a $700 billion rescue for the country's financial institutions.

Sound like a good idea?

So if Obama has ties with terrorism, how dare McCain claim hes a decent person and we shouldnt be scared of an Obama presidency. It is McCain now who is lying....

And if you (not claiming you actually are) or anyone else needs to resort to use Obama's middle name for politics, well then I now know a person who has run out of any sort of real argument. Freedom of speech is great, it lets me know who the idiots are.

Excellent! So will we.

I figure the Real McCain (you know, the honorable man of 8 years ago) came back to visit McCain in a dream last night and he feels bad now... Nah, that's not it. Palin is still attacking Obama's "terrorist ties" right and left. If he had a stroke of conscience, he'd instruct Palin to lay off, too.

McCain's poll numbers are going down with his attacks on Obama, so he is completely reversing directions once again. Trying to appear compassionate (
) But he'll let his pretty little women do his dirty work. What a manly man! :shk:

He is. But the mudslinging goes both ways. You know that. Obama doesn't have to attack him in this way because he's up in the polls. He just sits pretty up there. Why risk a backlash?

This is the thing...if he keeps doing what he's doing with the campaign he's a jerk because of it. If he decides that it's not the direction he wants to go, then he gets blame there also. Damned if he does, Damned if he doesn't.

It's always going to get the negative spin from the other side, always. You see it all over this website and everywhere else. It's all over the media. Both sides do it.

It's the same thing with the bailout. Some Democrats were saying they wouldn't vote for it unless McCain is on board. So what's he do? Suspends his campaign to try and get the votes. Before he even gets there he gets the backlash that he's just bringing politics into it. Politics were already a part of it and they are ALWAYS apart of anything the government does.

Also i am COMPLETELY AGAINST the bailout. I hated it and i still do. He was doing what he thought was best for the country, which like i said before, that he truly cares for.

Did McCain tell the the person in the crowd to shout terrorist? He asked who is Obama?

A lot of people care about Ayers and this is what Obama fears. That is why he is trying to keep it on economy. This one has legs and Obama is worried. Yes economy is most important but doesn't mean it is the only thing they want to hear.

If a guy said that Obama should be killed then the secret service should have carried him away in a heart beat. Secret service came to my town cause an Obama volunteer had said that a lady had threatened Obama, which turned out to be unfounded. Now the volunteer is being investigated. If they can travel down here i am sure they could have jumped in the crowd seeing that they were already in the hall. The rest of words fall under freedom of speech. Kinda like the same words people use to describe Bush are under freedom of speech.

When Ayer's was a "radical terrorist" Obama was a child. A child people.

Ayer's 2.0 is a Professor at a University and apparently was regarded a good citizen prior to all this election propaganda. Ayer's and Obama live in the same State, yes they are connected professionally.

ITS not the change folks...

It is the energy behind the CONCERN.

As Pat Bucanan said today it is meant to imply "He is not one of us". Well said PAT!

The visceral energy that is being actively cultivated by the Palin stumps
could lead to BLOOD very QUICK!

STOP beating around the BUSH here.

The implication is that OBAMA is himself
predisposed to terrorism.

Obama "MIGHT" be like the men of 9/11?

HIS name is similar to names of our mortal ISLAMIC enemies.

Do you want a BLACK man with an AFRICAN ARAB name running the red, white and blue?

I think if we were all honest we could scribe a long list of political MOTIVATIONS
and CULTURAL TARGETING related to the AYERS issue.

I Do not mind the issue being discussed. I do mind the fact that the issue is being raised to CULTIVATE hate and division while BABY DROOLING about the TRUE
motives.

half of you folks don't have the brass to own up the the real goal of this ISSSUE.

OBAMA is not like us.

It is a unique strategy that the GOP uses every 4 years.

KERRY was FRENCH he was born here,,, buuuuutt, he is more like a French men than an AMERICAN.

CLINTON had questionable visits to Russia as a student... COMMIE???

DUKAKIS would not solute the FLAG, what type of last name is that??? Is it JEW?...

IS Obama sort of like OSAMA??? he is a terrorist sympathizer, homo sexual, socialist, muslim who sat through tens of years of anti American christian sermons, talks to CHAVEZ, is devoted to bringing about full blown COMMUNISM, while being inclined
ISLAMO FASCIST principals...

SAME S@#!@ every election BUDS...

If you figure blood needs to be spilt I'm not gonna sit around playing pocket poker.
Funny thing is that the GOP level of anger has hardly hard the time to stew like liberal anger.

Once the dam breaks THERE WILL BE LOSTS OF BLOOD TO GO AROUND.IT is much closer than you all realize...

Maybe it is what we need???

Regardless lets not PUSSY FOOT and pretend anymore, I think most of us can forgo chicken S$#@ pretenses and smoke scene.

He asked who is Obama?

Yeah, and for four years, Obama's life has been under a microscope. He has more biographies than JFK and he's written two very elaborate books about his life. His WHOLE life story is spread far and wide on the Internet IN DETAIL and John McCain STILL doesn't know who he is????

I know he doesn't use a computer, but he can read, can't he???

What kind of a stupid question is "Who is Obama"??? You'd have to be a complete idiot and an illiterate fool not to know who Obama is...

Yes exactly, thanks for making that point

The McCain campaign wants to instill this idea into our heads!

Actually they want to drill, baby, drill it into our heads.

You say a lie enough and people believe it. That's the point.

I would much rather the Government, if its going to spend 700 billion in taxpayer money, use it to help homeowners restructure thier mortgages than just hand it to a bunch of Wall Street bankers. My solution is to let the market self correct but that isn't on the table now that the bailout has been passed.

Neo Cons, Buch Cheney and the like, and Neo Libs Reid Pelosi Obama Biden Frank Dodd and the like all meet in one place National Socialism and we know what happened the last time a country went down that road.

Ain't nothing like putting your own spin on your life. No we don't know who he is.

I know he sat in a church for 20 years but never heard the sermons. Except for the one he quotes in his book.

Obama is a joke and I hope he wins. Cause it will be funny as hell seeing the same people supporting him now trying to defend him for his socialistic policy.

to me the most socialist thing offered was mccain offering to buy up bad mortgages. Hello, thats saying ,well you made a bad investment, you spent too much money when you didnt have it, borrowed, took a gamble on an ARM, and now you are in trouble. Lets bail you out.

Thats socialism my friend.

First part is fair... OK so know we know!!!

We get it! We will weigh this consideration when placing our votes!

However the second part... COME on whats with the mickey mouse half way across the line...

We all know why people refer to OBAMAS middle name.

Let not dance around this like a delicate flower.

HIS middle name is the same as SADDAM'S last.

SAY it PEOPLE- lay it out there.

A feather fest will not serve us.
