-277 and rising? Could we see a rebound?

Now it's -222. A minute before it was minus 150-something. Like you said, the market is just incredibly volatile. I've been following the markets closely for 21 years and I have never seen it this volatile.

Remember the last 1/2 hour yesterday when it dropped from around 400 down to close at minus 678? Today looks like more of the same.

Now -104. 170 point swing in two minutes. This is freaking insane!!!!

lmao- down 131 since my last edit like 30 seconds ago..

Holy crap . . . more ups and downs that a teenaged bum on prom night. This is getting hard to follow.

Imagine being on the trading floor trying to sort this out.

It'll be a Glenfiddich night for a few of those folks, I'll bet.

Is it possible that this late rally is from holders of the Lehman CDS auction unloading assets to cover the payouts?

People are spending a LOT of money trying to get this back up. -134 now, fluctuating hard. -113. -128. -80
No wonder gold & silver plummeted in price - everyone sold it off to try and bounce the market up.

This is going to give a false sense of hope.

My prediction is she drops like a rock over the final 30 minutes.

Anyone got a convenient and free live ticker link available? One that shows the main Dow numbers (at least) in real time? I'm going nuts running to check the TV in the other room then back to my comp...

Just for info, the German satellite TV network N24 earlier today said it was "Black Friday for the European Markets". This was before Wall St opened for the day...

Yeah i dont see tha market holding up near even, where it is now. It will most likely sell off hard right before the close. The shorts are taking their profits and now, bailing out about to get back in.

Some good traders are making a killing today! these huge rallies and then huge steady drops. its liek surfing. haha
