WOW bounced back up a lot: -124, 8455

Let's see if it holds through Bush's speech and Lehman's auction.

Fine, it's only down about 220 for the day, but I'm looking at the total for the last two weeks. It's around a 20% drop for that time period. That it something that scares the hell out of me.

Add in mainstream media using the word depression & it makes me want to stock up on food.

Bush is set to come on in about 40 minutes

Hopefully things dont take a turn for the worst....I am worried that we may not make it through the day in one piece at this rate

Yahoo has the wrong opening mark. I'm not sure what that is all about. Use Google

dow has rebounded to 8300.

VIX has jumped to 64. highest in recorded history.

Oil collapsed to below $80/ barrell. (Some good news eh!)

Gold up 2%

OK settle in guys, the market should hold at the 8100-8450 level from now until 3.30pm. After 3.30pm there will be a flurry of last minute sales, to drop the dow massively down overall. I think this is a pattern that short sellers are using.

I never said things were not scarry, but everyone watched the opening this morning and just flipped a bird...I mean do people actually listen to what the reporters are saying. Hell on CNBC they were talking to the sellers and they even said. Look for a huge plummet in first 5 mins and then we will bring it back up.

I mean it was only 5 mins in trading, if it was doing that and after an hour we were still on a steady decline i might be a bit worried.

It's bouncing all over the place right now. I'll bet the talking heads on CNBC had to change their pants during that commercial break!

I only expected a 300-400 point drop daily until it hits bottom. That may change, maybe even today, but I knew it would rebound from that opening plummet. The last hour of trading will be the most interesting IMO.

BTW-sorry if the other post sounded rude, I have yet to have my coffee & without it, I tend to sound a bit b*tchy
