ya know, and im sure ill be flamed for this.... but i think this first 10 or 15 minutes or so is actually quite good. and this is not because im voting for obama. Ive called him out on his bs tv ads and when he was not performing in the debates. But this ,so far, has been very good.

I just watched the 30 minute network broadcast and all I can say is, "Wow!"

It was closer to a Hallmark Special than a dry, ho-hum speech that many anticipated.

He didn't mention McCain even once! That's important to me because I don't want to listen to a candidate who wastes prescious time dissing the other candidate.

While I didn't plan on voting for Obama nor McCain ... this tv broadcast was a new and refreshing alternative to the past decades of mud-slinging campaigns.

2 thumbs up

I watched.
I loved it. I thought it was very well-done.

I realized how fortunate we (my husband and I) are. I never have to decide whether to buy 1/2 gallon of milk or a gallon. We don't have to worry about paying our bills or losing our house. I was really touched by the real people and their real problems.

I know it was a "production" and meant to pull the heart strings, and it did. I absolutely loved it.

I was also VERY happy he didn't mention McCain. It was about him and us, not McCain.

I was quite impressed with the 30-minute infomercial.

I also thought how it switched to Obama's live speech in FL was very well done.

Great, powerful, and effective infomercial.

Extremely well done and I believe Republicans will admit it was well done. Bottom line is, America needs a change and Obama is the right person at the right time. We just can't afford to carry on the same policies of the past 8 years. They didn't work and even though Obama is far from perfect I will not and I cannot vote for McCain/Palin.

I watched it all. Barak is a truly likable guy. I'd give the infomercial a 10 out of 10.

In fact, it was too polished. I almost felt like I was being lied to...

I'm sorry, but as much as I wish he were the real deal, I still believe in the long run, he will further the demise of America.

I hope I'm wrong. While I will vote 3rd party, I will quietly be pulling for Obama in the election. Perhaps in hopes that our republic isn't completely broken. That an honest, uncorrupted man could actually reach POTUS. I have my doubts though...

Propaganda is almost always very well done.

Looking at the latest states numbers id say Obama is going to pull this off. Im still hoping for the hail Mary. I think McCain still has a chance.

That being said, his chance is smaller than Obama's. So I surely hope america is ready for whats coming.

I missed it but will download it when I find it.

Slam dunk Obama! Ladies and gentlemen the President of the United States!

He could not have put together a better summary! This beat the hell out of Ross Perot's flip chart infomercials from back in the day.

Ah yes, the flipcharts. I do miss that voice once in a while.

"Can I talk? I can speak? Excuse me, can I get a word in here?"

I'm not willing to let chance be the deciding factor of the sake of my country. People have been completely ignorant and blind as to who Obama really is. I supported this man early on and realize the monster he really is.

We have information that's being suppressed by the LA Times, which they do acknowledge.

There is a saying, if it sounds too good to be true, odds are it is. I guess for most of you only time will show you this. By then most likely it will be too late.

Barry is a salesman and can make a package of crap look appealing. But no matter how you pretty up his policies, they are still going to harm America, especially his tax policy.

Ever admire a care salesman for his skills when he was selling you a car that, come to find out later, was nothing but a piece of junk? Or how about one of those late night infomercials that sold you that kitchen item that you had to have? The knives that could cut through a can or a hammer?

Same thing with the Obama campaign. Except this mistake will cost us more than just 4 years - it's going to cost jobs, freedoms and certain liberties that we enjoy now. More government? No way! Socialized medicine? Absolutely not! Take away my 401K and create a government trust? We already have social security, thanks. Raise corporate taxes? You're fighting the global economy, stupid and you're going to wreck our economy even worse than it already has been wrecked in the last 2 months. Cap and trade? Please - large companies will abuse it!

He can throw as much money and air time as he wants to try and sell me and the rest of America on his liberal policies, but I will never buy it. Liberalism = not good for economic growth.

"...It might be tempting to suppose that these partisan differences in income growth are a coincidence of timing, merely reflecting the fact that Republicans held the White House through most of the past three decades of slow, unequal growth. The partisan pattern, however, is remarkably consistent throughout the postwar period. Every Republican president since Dwight Eisenhower presided over increasing economic inequality, while only one Democrat — Jimmy Carter — did so. (I allow one year for each president’s economic policies to take effect, so the recession of 2001 is counted against Clinton, not Bush.)..."

Whats sad is many experts have spoken out as to how Obama's plans are risky, but the media has silenced them.

I'm loosing my grip at the moment as I find this very overwhelming. I am 100% certain if Obama is elected, my country as I have known it growing up, will no longer exist.

I do understand a lot of you Obama supporters SEE Kennedy in this man, but I hate to break it to you he isn't.

Greed plays a major factor in opting for Obama too. Have you seen his commercials? "McCain will only give you $500, but If you vote for me ill give you $1500".

Sell your vote.... you will regret it and unfortunately in the process you will make innocent people suffer.

Andrew, I understand and respect your decision. I don't think they should be hiding information about a candidate from the public. You have to admit, the past 8 years have been terrible. I think it must have been hard for you to decide to continue that but that is your decision and I respect that.

The only thing that might worry me is if the Dem's get control of the Senate and Congress. Isn't America amazing that you have a system of checks and balances. Thats what the Senate and Congress is for. They keep Obama in line and make sure that if he does have a hidden agenda it doesn't come to fruit. I blame Congress, Senate and Bush for the past 8 years. Bush is a bully and the Senate and Congress was afraid of him. I am voting to put Obama in the office but am a little on the fence if they should get majority of Senate and Congress and how long.

It's too bad that a guy who is claiming he will financially help the middle class (by taking money from the rich...before he taxes the middle class, which is based on liberal precedents) yet takes hundreds of millions of dollars from them to make big, fancy infomercials. No matter which side you are on you have to agree it's a joke how much they spend.

Andrew, I'm also struggling to bite my tongue.

Open your eyes man. This country is ALREADY different than the one you and I experienced growing up. The nice tales of American democracy, integrity, and free-world leader is long gone.

We have shifted to a nationalistic, socialist economy...backed by a governemnt that has incrementally eroded our civil liberties since September 11. The powers afforded to the Executive Branch and now the Treasury Department directly violate those provided in the U.S. Constitution. Our government continues to violate us.

Now, how this country advances under Obama or McCain is not worth arguing. Be scared of Obama if you wish. But be scared of McCain. The Executive Branch is no longer the "checked and balanced" branch that we read in our little history books.

So enough with the "I fear Obama" crap. Fear our own present government, Congress, Treasury, President, and voting bloc that elects many of these idiots into office year-in-and-and-year-out.

Please, no personal disrespect to you. I respect your opinions. I'm just a very proud American, and very angry/disappointed at our current state of affairs.

This is not the America we used to know.
