Just my tupennies worth. I read the OP's post and many of the subsequent ones. I was not alarmed at the news of a small convoy travelling through
the city centre but, just to put minds at rest, I called a few comrades from my miltary days and asked some questions. The vehicles in question were
part of a non-specific logistics movement and nothing untoward.
Secondly, black jets. Please do not be alarmed at sighting black aircraft in the sky. In the military, I was responsible for the maintenance of 3
fast jet Sqns, all painted black. The reason? Visability. The best colour an aircraft can be, to been seen in grey and blue skys
is............black. It produces a very strong outline against a natural sky. If you want to hide an aircraft, paint it dull grey. Far more
effective. The chances are, no, certainly, the aircraft that were spotted near the coast were twin seat
Hawk T1As. Training aircraft from RAF Valley.
Special forces and Spec Ops do not paint their A/Cs black.

Well if they transported stuff at midday with all the taffic I'm sure folks would be bitching and complaining. Armies do move stuff around even when
there is no fighting. It is also a waste of fuel going doing a 100 mile detour to avoid the centre of London....isn't it?

There are a number of army regiments actually based in London, and they do rotate in and out of those bases. At the moment, I think at the moment it
is the Life Guards, or the Blues and Royals stationed in London, both are light cavalry units, but are mostly used for ceremonial purposes. IMHO,
it's nothing untoward to see their vehicles out and about early in the morning, but then I do live in Dorset, smack bang between a load of bases and
see military vehicles trundling around a lot on my way home after a late night out.

Well it's the day after the event and nothing happened... Again. I was waiting for 'something' to happen on the 7th October but was again
disappointed (if that's the right word:puz
However the thread does raise an interesting issue:
I remember when there was a scare in my home town that the water had been contaminated and helicopters were flying round advising people not to drink
the water and to boil it before any use.
Anyhow, water bowsers were put out all over the city and immediately for people to get supplies. Well within hours people were getting assaulted and
there were many fights over people taking too much, taking too long, and generally taking the piss (as we say in the UK). It was messy.
I can imagine that if there is a sudden problem with people getting their money or the hyper inflation overnight, the government would have a serious
public order problem on their hands.

One way something can eventually be pulled off by existing governments is to promote the "Cry Wolf" syndrome. I mention this because I was on the
periphery of planning for something like this decades ago. At the time, the theory was to get topics on local talk radio stations (this was well
before Rush, et al) that the Fed was going to pull something. What we called the "hairy ear squad"; groups of elderly men who lived to talk about
the illegality of the Federal Reserve, would flood the airwaves nationwide about this faux conspiracy, and the people who actually notice unusual
events would be distracted from what was actually happening. This never really went anywhere because the PTB decided Americans were not aware enough
to waste money diverting their attention.
But would the army, any army, drive vehicle convoys around urban areas for distraction? I doubt it. Is there an imminent takeover or martial law in
the UK? I doubt it. MoD personnel and equipment is moved more cheaply by MoD vehicles than by taxi's, that's all.
If people are really worried about this kind of thing, it seems the best idea would be to familiarize yourselves with the bases in your area and what
their purposes are, it's usually not secret. Then, if you see vehicle movement you can make an educated guess as the the purpose, rather than
getting your knickers in a twist.

This morning I woke up and looked out my window - don't know if it'll have any relevance, but I had to take a picture of it. Will upload later, but
you know the vapour trails (think thats what they're called!) that planes leave? Well, looked like a row of 6, as if they'd been flying side by
side. Looked like they'd been all flying at the same time, although some looked 'fresh' I know what I mean!
Guessed it was some military operation/exercise - as regular planes wouldn't do that.

I live in a town with an army base located just outside it, but within the limits. I'm constanlty on edge as I see the trucks passing by. I may be
screwed, but you should try to be ready just in case.

i thought u people were in the know about conspiracy's and such but i have read nothing as to the REAL reason these exercises are taking place.
I KNOW the reason for this but am unsure if my post will be removed as this has happened numerous times in the past. i believe the REAL TRUTH SPEAKERS
AND FREE THINKERS are being surpressed on ats so; i will only reply with the real reason this is going on if i get enough attention in relation to
THIS POST...
oh yeah and i myself live in london and i am aware of these exercises as i too have contacts in the territorial and regular army stationed all over
the uk.
all of those who are self proclaimed anti-nwo citizens should know the real reason...
i leave the outcome in your hands...

Mate I'm in Manchester...I hear Scotland and England are doing 'war games' until the 16th and have been doing since the 6th, so I'd like to say
relax, it's just a drill...!
However we all know what tends to happen when our forces are conducting 'drills' so be alert nonetheless. Remember it could just be another tool to
panic the public so don't buy into it with mass evacuations of your families etc.! Just trust you're always in the right place at the right time,
buy into the love not the fear. We'll be ok mate as long as we stay awake. Good post though cheers for the info...best of luck mate

Normal commercial airliners do that if they're all flying on the same flightpath - if some looked more recent than others I'd say that's all it
was.
At that time there would have been a lot of aircraft flying over the SE into Europe - redeye flights from the USA.
