Wake up. Not to turn this into a religious discussion, but the world could use a little more Godlessness. Religion bred the terrorists who attacked on 9/11, Religion has dictated America's foreign policy for the last 8 years (my source is a quote from Bush himself), and as Reinhardt theorizes, a religious group is responsible for the economic crisis. Genocide, Slavery, Rape, Murder, War Crimes, and Prejudice, all have been justified by Religion. And sadly, I can give you citations where each of these are found and condoned by God in the Bible.

As long as people look to the divine, or the supernatural, or to other things that do not exist, they will never be able to get to the real problem, and that is greed. As said above, those in power shall always be corrupted. The constitution was designed with this in mind, and served as a good check of powers. As time passed however, it was able to be undermined. If somehow (and i don't believe it is possible) the government is overthrown, a new modernized constitution will be needed to prevent the distribution of power into the hands of a few. If that can't happen, no matter what the intentions are, the new government will eventually become like the old.

Simple solution.

Vote the Bums out.

Any incumbent, regardless of party affiliation, should be voted out of office. Period.

That's how I'm voting.

I once took an oath to defend the Constitution. I will continue to do so.

If I may suggest.. Those same corporation NEED US not the other way around, a public boycott of any corporation that uses undue methods of "buying elected officials" remember, regardless of how many congressmen are bought the ultimate power is with the people, for instance if America woke up and adopted the idea of "be your own bank" avoid credit like it was the plague (which it is by the way) the financial biz would be begging for mercy..

This is the Country of We The People, not them the government or corporations. It just isn't, read the Declaration, read the Bill of Rights, and Constitution, it says so, and we all know what those words say.

I wish that where true. "We the people, Hijacked by the Rich are now subjects in their kingdom which we really have no say in any matters"

Now, prove to me this is not so. We elect the wealthy landowners to govern us thinking they have our best interest at heart. They listen to us speak but, the lobbyist speak with more money then we make in 10 years for their campaign.

We do not really have a voice at all, our voice becomes silenced by greed and money of the very people we elected!
