I posted this theory flippantly in another thread, and then realized that it was more plausible than just parody.

Suppose the Oct 7 predictions aren't about a military, government or natural disaster threat, but about an encroaching plague of some kind?

It could be H1N5 as there has been some evidence that this has begun to transmit to humans. Or something like Ebola. Or even a government-created plague a la "Captain Trips."

Perhaps now, on Oct 7, the first infected person--what we would call the vector--is arrivigng by plane in some busy city. He's still in the incubation period, but that doesn't prevent him from spreading the germs.

I suppose it would take almost exactly six months for this plague to go around the world, and boy what an emotional ride that would be.

What do you think ATS?

Personally... I'm rooting for the plague... it's about time Mother Nature got one in.

Actually I have been thinking about this possibility. Today I was at the store and caught a blurb about a virus infecting 200 I think at a USC campus. There has also been alot of shows on TV recently about anthrax. But I think in the event of a plague it would start out small in dense populations and spread like wildfire.

by my knowledge they still haven't found the genetics to set a clock on the incubation time of viruses.

I could be wrong so don't pin me on my words but I did some bio/chemistry laboratory school when I was young...

Well I believe the basic idea is that it will be an airborne illness, so it will basically spread without people knowing until it is too late.

Most viruses have a natural incubation of 3 days-2 weeks, if that is what you are asking.

I read something a couple days ago about that flu being in Alaska already I will see if I can find it .

EDITED
OK I guess I was mistaken ..I did a really through search and only found links about them TESTING for it in Alaska ..
It sure seems like I saw where some people were already sick in Barrow Alaska ...and they were looking into whether or not it could be that flu ..
I stumbled on it while digging for other stuff ..and I remember thinking I needed to call my cousin and see if she is ok .(She lives at the old home place we all grew up in at Pt Baker) ...

If I find it I will come back and post it ...ok ..

THe mods put this in h1n5 but it could be any disease...bird flue is the most likely though, IMO.

Well, I think its already mutated. Aaron Donahue made this prediction in August. "A viral mutation between swine, bird, and man after the games."
You can say what you want about "predictions".. this guy doesn't hop on the bandwagon to other people's "predictions". I've followed him for years and he has been accurate 99% of the time. Here is what he is expecting in our immediate future:

P-3 (Visual)

1. China following the August successful games will begin to fail one third of its industry.

2. A flood from a returning storm in the United States.

3. Three will strike the many with fear.

4. Murder, broken glass, heat rippling up from asphalt, rushing waters, news of an earth quake, one man in a 42nd floor window, twin clear faces, and a crushed rose.

5. A viral mutation between swine, bird, and man after the games.

6. A troubled banking system in the west and world continues to influence others negatively. Inflation now grows.

7. Israel, Lebanon, Syria?, and Iran.

8. President McCain orders [X] and there is failure of [V].

9. Winter (2008) heating oil and natural gas costs frustrate the many.

P-5 (Clarity)

1. Chinese relations with the west will suffer twin faltering economies.

2. A world war nears as Russia prepares its nuclear and other high-end technologies as per an immediate stand-off with the west.

3. During and after the wars, many of the industrialized areas of the west will be uninhabitable due to chemical pollution from unprotected facilities damaged by missiles.

4. A certain number of nuclear power plants disperse radioactive debris secondary to direct and indirect missile strikes during the wars.

5. China in the end will win a war with the west but there will be an unforeseen outcome.

6. Russia will assist within a newly formed world socialist (spiritual) government that will oversee western governance following China's victory (and failures…).

7. The west that remains following the wars will be disarmed and humiliated as was Japan following WWII. It shall be unjustly consumed from all sides and many of its peoples will die from starvation, war-related illnesses (see today's biological and chemical weapons potential and inevitable use), and disease.

8. What remains of some western industrialized mega-prison complexes* will be used after the wars as deprogramming centers in which resocialization will then be deemed possible for a limited number of model "citizens".

Many of the former prisoners will be released secondary to severe financial conditions prior to and during the wars. War-front replacement of soldiers will also play a role in the release of prisoners, etc.

*Today's western industrial prison complex is one of the largest in the world and is by far the most expensive to operate. Much social discord will occur following an early release of the imprisoned youth secondary to widespread economic decline, humiliation, personal misfortune, and racism.

Essentially, the majority of those today over the age of 50 in the west did not build libraries nor schools for its youth as much as they have tolerated the construction of many highly sophisticated prison complexes. To aid in this fear based travesty, these complexes must be fed western youth via a massive and highly paranoid police force of unprecedented power and authority over its citizens.

9. Human extinction nears following severe environmental and biological destruction as per the war years.

10. A world government panel of scientists reveal the transfer of human consciousness as possible within an artificial neuro-network coupled with modified living tissue. This appears in part the result of advances within the field of nano-technology.

11. A new form of "beyond life" communications technology is discovered replacing some presently known forms. Although impractical, "speaking with the dead" becomes a world-wide trend with youth until its absolute truth and purpose is known…

Hmm...

I will look into him. But what are the twin faces and the crushed rose supposed to represent, can you tell me that offhand?

He's not completely certain what it means yet, he's still looking into it. I believe he thinks the twin faces faltering means the twin economies of the United States and China. You can read his analysis below about the rose data:

Here is what many are asking of my vision and analysis of our immediate future:

1. Who will be elected in this world as the next leader of America in 2008?

The answer to this is not an easy one to define although it can now be clearly understood from the perspective of a certainty rather than a mere probability.

Today's Republican Senator John McCain of Arizona will be elected as President of the United States of America in 2008. His office of administration will consist of a single term ending in 2012.

A Highly Probable Future

There will be in his time three wars, seven important deaths, two major natural disasters, floods, record heat waves, power failure, a drought killing cattle, dust storms, pestilence, forest fires, eukaryotic cell mutations, crop failures, widespread bankruptcy, recession, viral infections, disease, major tornadoes, and fear leading to an unexpected success (blue rose data), and eight major catastrophic mechanical situations that seem to involve a public form of transportation. There is seen a park accident, noise and smoke from the ground, and earth quakes in both the expected and unexpected place.

Blue Rose

At this moment I am stricken with an image of a blue rose and a tunnel for which one might imagine that a train or boat could be also involved utilizing the tunnel for access or travel. There is a feeling of dread, a slight smell of diesel, and fresh sealing tar and/ or creosote used to preserve railing ties and line polls. Sea gulls are periodically seen flying low 'in land' and there is a distinct feeling of an old city industry with paved over road rails, broken glass shining in the sun, and retrofitting of the old with something new.

There are people burning to death within visual range of the aforementioned tunnel.

That makes me think of the Chunnel. But I don't really know. I think it's virtually impossible to predict specific events in the future, and I'm not claiming this is true... just that it could be.

Sounds similar to a plot in the movies like 'I am Legend' or 'Resident Evil', or something.
Well sarcasm aside I think that it is highly plausible. There are so many diseased already out there that it is possible for one to mutate into something we can not cure. Like AIDS or sickle cell, but a more likely plague would be ebola or a new strand of malaria or measles, chicken pox or maybe even small pox.

Eh... I had the worst case of chicken pox ever when I was a kid... still have quite a few pock marks...

I've not actually seen those movies. I want to see IAL for the visuals... but personally, I began to feel that the everything in the "Killer Virus" genre was a retelling of The Andromeda Strain or The Stand.

Although there was a very good recent book called The Cobra Event that detailed a biological weapons scare.

It looks like we need to start taking Elderberry. It gets in your blood, and supposedly, viruses stick to it, so they can't get into your cells to reproduce.

I've never seen "the Stand' or "andromenda' either, but I am Legend I thnk is a good movie though a lot of people think they are zombies but they're really vampires. That would be really crazy if a vampire plague started. Definelty worse than chicken pox which I have never had.

Well they were books first. Haven't seen TAS but the Stand movie at least followed the book almost exactly.

I had chicken pox so bad that my back was almost entirely raw... i looked like a burn victim, then a sunburnt Reptillian as it started to heal...
but eventually I shed my skin a grew new skin.

That is a interesting idea.

I don't exactly buy into it, but if you want to sow fear into people/thin the population for whichever nefarious purpose may/may not exist, then a highly contagious disease is a good way.

Kill the people and leave the property/resources, much more effective than a bomb or something equally destructive.
