US War Plane Forced to Land in Iran

A US fighter jet has been forced to land in Iran after violating the country's territory, according to an Iranian news agency.

The agency added that the incursion was unintentional, and those on board were questioned and released.

However, a Pentagon spokesman said it was unaware of any US warplanes being forced to land in Iran.

I saw this first on BBC News 24, and have just found this Sky News link.
I can't tell if this is deliberate or not, and the US Military is saying that they know nothing of it.
I find it highly unlikely that the Iranians have allowed to plane to continue after questioning the passengers - among which were '5 senior US Generals'.
However, I question the reliability of the fact that it was an unintentional incident, maybe the Americans are not so much trying to provoke Iran, but to build up international tensions against Iran?
