We went through a lot of crap with Russia during the cold war, remember? Even turning on ourselves due to the communist hysteria! Even then there was no WW3. I for one am going to remain calm; there is no use in going back to those hysterical days. If Russia launches us into WW3 then so be it, I’ll deal with the stress and hysterics if such a thing actually happens, instead of sitting around being paranoid about it right now I have better things to do. It only distracts from things we should be focused on in our own countries.

Ya, I understand that. Newsflash, this is happening in/near your country! How secure are you feeling knowing that there are 20 some Russian aircraft carriers next door and your Government is going to do something to pin on them?

Seriously though, I have been worried about Russia ever since the US provoked Russia via a proxy war through Georgia. Then the Polish Missile Defense treaty... and of course all the stupid threats from Cheney, Rice and Bush against Russia.

They started the fight, Russia means to give it their best go if the states brings it on.

WWIII is not improbable, it's highly probable.

If it happens, I'm buying stocks in sticks and rocks.

What do you expect me to do about it? Panic? There is no need for me to panic, it accomplishes nothing. What else is there to do? America has been in plenty of hot water before with out another WW starting.

There's no ideological challenge to the current capitalist system as there was during the Cold War.

Except for Islamofascism, but the US and Russia have some relatively common ground on that.

The only fight for WWIII, if it ever happens in the distant future, will be for natural resources. With the US firmly imbedded in the Middle East to look after its "interests" everyone is now turning to the Arctic - hence Russia looking to stake out their slice of the pie up there.

And flying loaded bombers and such to make it clear.

But nuking the planet for the sake of energy is a misnomer - there'd be nothing left to have any control over.

Impressive list of stories, but I think you left out Russia looking to build a port in Syria and the whole missile shield issue.

But they're bound to be in there some where!

Might want to ensure you have an emergency kit so you can move away from any radiation that the wind brings your way if your near anything. Might want to keep all of this in mind when you're told a completely other story of what happened. That it was "Al Queda" maybe or some other absurd joke like that. At least keep it in mind so you have a better idea of what happened instead of what the media is telling you.

Agreed - if a nuclear exchange happens we will all be returning to the stone age. Anyone who thinks we have even a remote chance of returning to where we are now, even in 100 years, is out of their mind.

I just hope if such a thing does happen I go out with the blast. A world after such an exchange would be hell on earth.
