Weekly World News has proof! (as usual)

UFOs were widely reported in US newspapers even in the two decades before the Wright brothers flew, two leading experts reveal.

“That historic flight took place in 1903—yet there are several well-documented UFO cases from the 1880s and ‘90s,” said UFO society official Lorita Green.

There is a box around the flying saucer if you zoom in you can see it. Faked like batboy.

Hi there, thanks for posting.

I think weekly world news is not a very credible site.

Also on that photo, why is it titled "ferry leaving new york city", as if no ones noticed the disk shaped object.

Personally i think its been pasted in after.

I followed the link and notice that, besides the already debunked picture above, there's another with the same "ufo" there... nopes... fake, fake...

sad...

I wonder if that website actually pays someone to edit the pictures they have.

Another article on the site titled "Obama nude" has a pic of some guy posing nude with Obama's head skillfully *cough* edited on.

Well spotted!
There are also some other ´antique´ UFO photographs (from 1890 onwards) posted at the pics link underneath-some are misidents/hoaxes yet some are far more difficult to refute.
Cheers Karl

Is there a more suitable sub-forum for obviously silly stories?

look in the lower left hand corner. It is bat boy.
A true celebrity pic indeed. My wife and I were joking about the Weekly world news mention in Men in Black. She is of the opinion there might be a little truth to some of their stories. So in her opinion Bat boy might be real.

Even if the photo is a fake, it does not stop the article from being accurate. Every event they mention in it did occur, with the possible exception of Aurora, TX.

Debunked? You really think it needed it?

Do you know what Weekly World News is?

Actually, I saw a show that talked about the Aurora TX one. Can't remember what show but I'm thinking it was on The History Channel.
