Many of them ARE being "oppressed enough"; but this is certainly a very different type of struggle. In the past, most people KNEW they were being intentionally oppressed, and that is was wrong... this is not just another case of outright oppression, this is MANIPULATION. The movement is to create awareness and in a peaceful manner make a shift in ideology. To say that people shouldn't join a movement because it'll just fail is somewhat pessimistic and more of an opinion than anything else. If people DON'T join together, then the truth of what is happening will not flourish; bear in mind that the education systems, and rights of people are slowly being stripped away to leave people too busy or disconnected from the grand picture to do anything about it. If people DON'T become involved, then time will trail on until it's too late for people to even have the ability to make a move (I would argue that for many, it's already hard enough to breathe, and with suicide rates increasing, I'd say so is people's spirit). The problem is also that many people come to see and understand various aspects of this film throughout their lives but only see the circumstances as independent variables as opposed to a holistic picture; I believe this movement will help people realize that they are not alone with these thoughts, feelings, and ideologies, and that they are in fact being manipulated into conformance.

This financial/monetary system will at some point crumble into pieces on it's own due to greed... but that doesn't mean that it's not going to kill a vast majority of the world population first. The evidence of this is showing just by observing the rapid shrinkage of the middle class population. Very soon MANY people will (as they currently are) slip into the "poor class". People are having to sell possessions that they have worked their whole lives to attain in the first place because of this whole financial gain. Statistically, 25000 CHILDREN alone die every day; this is not necessarily and will increase drastically if the current system/'faith' is NOT put into pressure by a movement.

As for "free will", no one is tampering with your free will; and I will not go into a philosophical discussion as to what "free will" entails. However in context to this movement, people still have FREE WILL if they join... as it is of their OWN ACCORD to make these choices of lifestyle change to aid a CAUSE they believe in.

If people don't stand up for a cause, yes, it will fail... that's why it takes brave individuals to step forward and and take action for what they believe in. If there wouldn't have been brave people standing alongside a cause when Ghandi or Martin Luther King stood to make a difference... then things could have ended very differently and quite possibly with much more deaths and much less of an impact. The difference in those cases is also that there were more confined/isolated incidences, IN CONTRAST to this movement, which is meant to take on more global proportions.

Although I respect your 'humble opinion' (as you put it), I unfortunately would have to strongly disagree with it given the overall circumstances.

The Venus Project is not a cult at all. This man who made the movie, Jacque Fresco, is a genius, a futurist, who has put his whole life into this dream of creating a civilization that works for everyone. Go to The Venus Project website (Future by Design). You will see what he's done, what he's doing. But it's not about him as a leader. Everyone's input is welcomed. The Resource Economy that he speaks of is a total replacement of the Monetary System we've lived with. Everyone is invited to study up, read up on everything he says, because it takes everyone understanding, waking up, and jumping in, sharing ideas if you feel you have better ones, etc. That's why it's not a cult. It's not a lot of sleeping dummies getting excited and following the leader. It's about a new society where everyone participates. And it's coming. It's the wave of the future. I'm so glad you also loved the movie - like me.

Umm... I gave link to chat "18 page" and it seemed that day silent there. So i thought now tell at i am right now in chat and im little sleepy so i can't now very well ansrew questions but trying if needed, but first thing what we need to focus is goal of this project.

I thought not to leave this only with that chat message so i talk about this monetary system patents. Think you make something and you selling it, next morning you woke up and see someone other selling same stuff and telling you at he/she just bought patent for the thing what "you" doed and you can't anymore sell it because you don't own patents for it. ITS CRIME. What the? Crime? Im punished to selling my own stuff just because someone bought patents to it in country where i thought sell it. Competition of patents can we say.

This thing has been crawling in my head long time, so i thought tell it to you too some simplest ways.

I agree completly my girlfriend an I watched the movie an realized the irony of the corruption of religion an government torture however long we believed our own truth its good to know others feel as we do an now we can educate ourselves further on the subject even if it may be called a cult at least we can say its a utopian cult

This seems to be the most honest way to look at this evolution. The entire idea revolves around education, awareness and ultimately everyday behaviour based on simple common sense. There is no movement. What we might call movement only states the obvious. The content of both films (with some exceptions) is something known to all (at least a little) rational people that are aware of the basic operation of life.
The requirement for this to work is to "let it happen" as opposed to "make it happen".
Finally, there are beautiful examples of this already happening, at least in the computer realm: Linux and all community generated software/systems. It is a small step but still beautiful,

This YouTube Video mentions Zeitgeist, and says that Jesus being part of Zodiac was normal to the prophecy, and it doesnt mean that Jesus didnt exist, thats the persons perspective who put up this YouTube Video.

Also why does Zeitgeist totally do away with Religious knowledge, enstead of teaching us the truths that are in Religions, yes we all no they aint perfect, but what about the truths that are there within?.

No, so Zeitgeist, essentially is telling people to discard sacred and ancient knowledge, and not try to understand its truths?.

I am a professional freelance writer, and have spoken to Roxanne with The Venus Project. I have volunteeted my services to help publicize their project and gain support, but out of partial paranoia I have to be careful where I go with it.

Anyways, I am going to be publishing a mass number of articles to target audiences that are relevant to this plan, audiences who are "going green" or wondering "how did this happen/how can we fix this" (about the recent financial crisis) would be very interested to learn about and consider this plan.

Also, I am looking to reach out to the tech savvy, the more who contribute the better. We don't need dreamers, we need doers! My biggest concern is how to make such a transition.

because the zeitgeist movement doesn't claim to have the truth but does claim to have a better system than the capitalist system which has brought poverty and a huge social gap to the world. it a step towards a better society. to connection to our true spiritual nature.
