Very unrealistic.

What they Congress need is to pass a law prohibiting any ties to lobbyist period. If a member breaks that law then they are removed from office ASAP.

Congress needs to enforce its own moral instead of practicing the band of brotherhoods. They know who is guilty and refuse to to police themselves.

They also need a law for outgoing members and staff who get jobs with lobbyist and then turns around and lobby their friends who are still active in Congress. Maybe there is a way people can start a petition to have their representative recalled from office. Will have to look in on that.

Marg, you live in Georgia right? It is by no means a permament republican state. It does lean a little that way most of the time right now, but we've had lots of Dem governors and dems do well in lots of statewide state offices.

I'm sorry but that seems even more unrealistic.
Why would they pass any law that would adversely affect them in the future?

Seems the longer they stay in power, the more complacent and corrupt they become.
We need to keep them constantly overlooking their shoulder.
They need to be remembered by how they react on their final day as an elected official, I kinda envision them giving a "deer in the headlight" gaze.

It's been several days now since we were "bailed out" and yet the market continues to drop.
What is it, about 12 - 14 hundred points now?

If our so called leaders can't lead what other choices do we have but to send them all home?

They need to know what it feels like to be forced to switch careers.
