Best thing you can do is keep busy.
Most people feel (more) fear when they perceive themselves as being out of control or lacking in and preparedness.
So, get yourself together and go start *preparing*.
Make yourself a list.
Lists make people feel better.
And list what would make you feel better.
Tangible things you can hold, keep near you, etc.
If something *bad * happened - what would you need?
Even a small bag with an extra pack a cigs, a lighter, some gum/candy bar, a good book (or The Good Book) to pass the time...
One item that gives people a lot of peace - make sure and include an address book with the names/addresses/phone numbers of all your friends/family.
(Scramble/Code this book to pass the time if you think having this info available to others might not be the thing to do.)
Something like that, something that would make you feel a little more self dependant.
Start putting together your survival gear in case you wanted to just *up and go* (or were forced to - on the lam so to speak).
Anything to keep yourself busy, take your mind off of what’s up *outside* and beyond your control.
Take care and hang in there!
