Video: Last night's debate

I just stumbled upon this video (not mine), taken from a broadcast last night (October 2nd)

quite interesting, not quite sure what to make of it. they don't seem to move at all, just flash so maybe they're part of some towers or the like. cool though.

Those are the lights that blink at the top of the Washington Monument, located between Capitol and the Lincoln Memorial. There is also a tall-ish building off to the side and behind the Monument that most likely has a blinking light at the top as well. About 2/3 down this wikipedia page you can see a view of the Monument and mall from the back of the Capitol.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but

the Washington Monument at night is always fully illuminated


and the lights are at the top and not in a curved line down the monument.

I could be wrong. It's happened before.

I hadn't thought about the Monument being lit up at night. And at one point, the camera pans to the right a bit, and there's the edge of what could be a lit up building. Maybe the Monument?

Thanks for pointing all that out. I posted a knee-jerk response. That said, I still think they're building lights, and not UFOs.

It looks to me like the Phoenix Lights only on a smaller scale.

i watched this from multiple views and angles, it was no building and it was in the air moving. It was Sssscary!!

or maybe they were making sure this bill passed...or ELSE!

I hope they abduct Bush and give us a President who can speak English.

Or a president who has some morals.

Either way, interesting find but I am leaning towards building lights.. even temp ones.
