Since WHEN is it a thrill and an accomplishment that a person running for the Vice presidency of the United States CAN CARRY AN INTELLIGENT DEBATE?????


SHE or HE is supposed to know their stuff.

For crying out loud!!! Enough! Here's McCain gloating about her "rehearsed performance"...wth is it with this????

Forgive me if i'm wrong on this but are the standards so low since Bush that anyone who comes across with some common sense now is to be CELEBRATED????

Sarah exceeded expectations!!!!!!! WOWWWWWWWWWW!!!

This has to be the most disgusting disection of this woman, (wow, she can actually fight her way out of a paperbag) that i've ever seen in my life!!!

Is SHE running for president or is it McCain?????

Personally, i think this is just plain ridiculous and undermines all women.

You don't appreciate the subtleties of "Palin Dissection"....completely understandable. It isn't like folks are being obvious or anything; it is difficult to see where they are coming from.

It does get a bit old. Instead of focusing on her hair, her glasses, her winking, her smirking, her choice of "folksy" phrases, and her accent.....our time could be better served by focusing on the issues.

Maybe even by focusing on the people at the top of the ticket.

Discussing her is fine.....but there has been too much focus on style and too little on substance.

Most men go for a trophy wife, McCain is the first to go for a trophy Vice president.

I'm Libertarian and will vote that way this election, but if I had to go mainstream I'd choose her and her sugar daddy over Obama and his also ran.

The woman can kill a moose, how many Washington insiders can say that?

Your reaction to Palin is exactly how many of us feel about Obama. I am sick to death of him already. Talk about treating someone like a messiah!

I think that only applies to a certain group of hard core conservatives (not Republicans).

It's kind of like it was when Obama was at his peak....it gets old. And, it really doesn't matter who the person is.

Everyone has their limit when it comes to the exposure of a person....after a while, enough is enough.

And, if we send her hunting with Cheny, he might shoot her on accident, then McCain will get the sympathy vote and end up in office. Not the best way to win the election....

All these people running for office are nothing but clowns.

Actually, I don't think she exceeded expectations at all. I think she met the absolute bare minimum that would prevent her from getting raked over the coals every day until the election.

I think she jumped off topic too much.

"I'd like to say something about Afghanistan."

"Ummm...OK, we're not talking about Afghanistan, but knock yourself out."

She is foreign policy illiterate. Being governor of a state that's kinda-sorta close to Russia does not make her a foreign policy guru.

"I can see Russia from my back yard."

"No, Gov. Palin. That's just *snip*."

She's a pretty face and has done nothing but reinforce the false belief that pretty girls have no brains.

She is not some spitfire with witty, down-home rhetoric. She is a tool being used by the Republicans to grab the Hillary voters who feel betrayed. What they don't realize is that no matter how betrayed they may feel, come Election Day those votes aren't going anywhere (at least, not the majority of them). They're staying home with the Democratic Party.

Lastly, she talks to me as if I'm some sort of idiot for doubting her credentials. Say what you want about Obama's inexperience, but at least he's got SOME national and foreign policy experience (not much, but SOME). She's the governor of Alaska - a state so cold that the Sun can only tolerate it for six months.

She's annoying, aggravating, grating, and irritating. I console myself on the fact that come November 4 we will never hear of her again.

And yes, the general attitude toward her has undermined all women. Palin didn't win the debate, not even close. Repetitive, rehearsed answers do not win debates, end of story. Please people, just tell it like it is.
